Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Insert witty yet

Insert witty yet deep advice on writing/life/growing up here.

Or: This is my goodbye letter.

I don't know when I started getting Ladybug. I was probably too young to remember. I do, however, remember much of Spider.  My very first issue of Cricket was May 2007, and the cover was dragons (I feel that this was prophetic). I still have that issue, still have every single one I've ever gotten, and I must have read it over twenty five times. I have my favorite stories - the Star Shard, that one about the boy who wins, against all odds, the race to push a ship around Pluto and back - and my favorite covers - that enchanted library one, the dragons, the lady winter blowing snow. I was receiving Cricket before the Chatterbox even existed- I remember the announcements on the letter page. I did venture on a couple times in 2009 or so, reading through RPs but never commenting or participating. No, I would not do that until July 10, 2011 on a HP RP, asking about one of the RPs I had stalked two years ago.

After that came the Dragon RP and, well, the rest is history.

But I do believe my time has come, and rather than disappear, I've chosen to say goodbye. Almost everyone I knew well has moved on, and as I very rarely participate anymore, I figure it's time I did as well.

The CB was instrumental in shaping me into who I am today. I've made a lot of friends and a lot of memories; I've grown and so have my writing skills. I'm 17 now, and I am most definitely not the person I was at 13. This is in large part due to the rest of you CBers, so thank you. Thank you, also, to the Admins. I will miss everyone very much.

Should you like to keep in contact with me, my Nano is Dragon.Slayer.SC (the Dragon RP really did make an impression...)

Much love,

SC

Thank you for this nice letter, SC. We appreciate hearing how much Ladybug, Spider, Cricket, and the Chatterbox have meant to you. Best wishes for the future and feel free to come back and visit us from time to time.

Love,

Old Cricket

Have a wonderful life, SC. Be safe. Keep on being awesome. You are just someone I was able  look up to and admire. The way you wrote - that hint of sarcasm - made me smile when I read your posts, and I'll never forget you. Your characters, and your character, too. Have a great life.
