A brilliant
subject I know, but I want your opinion on it.


Not just, ‘smoking
is bad’, I need more than that. I want ‘smoking is bad because....’ I need
reasons. Of course if you don’t have the time, or just don’t want to talk about
it, I’m not forcing you. I fact I can’t force you cause I’m all the way over
here in Australia, anyway.


I have to
write a huge essay on smoking, and I’d like some other opinions other than my
own. I don’t want it biased. So if I have your ideas as well as mine, it’ll be
the best.


So far my
points are; advertising smoking, smoking in public places, children and
smoking.

It costs a lot of money, and I have better things to do with my money. It's unhealthy. It makes a person, their clothes, and furniture smell bad.

Weed as in marijuana.  Unfortunatly, my town hasn't aged past the seventies, so... there are a lot of head shops in my town.  Head shop as in selling drug paraphernalia.  Nyarsh.

Smoking killed my grandfather, it makes things (in my opinion), smell disgusting, it is an addiction that drains bank accounts, those are the reasons I dislike it. My Grandfather died a bit after I was born and never got a chance to meet me.

We're doing this subject in health right now.

Smoking is bad because of so many reasons. First of all there's hundreds of chemicals that go into cigarettes. INcluding rat poisening, and a chemical used in cleaning fluids. There's a large amount of tar too so when you smoke you coat your lungs in tar and all these small air sacks that produce oxygen get covered and stop working. Also smoking causes lung and mouth cancer. Chewing tabacco can cause canker sores in your mouth that just grow and grow, and can eventually eat away at the skin in your cheek. 

Smoking also wrecks your taste buds. For example after smoking nothing you eat or drink will ever taste as good again.

Smoking also costs a lot of money. Here in NJ one pack costs about $8. If someone bought one pack a day for a year that would cost them $2920 a year for something that's eventually going to kill them.

Then there are of course the usual reasons, you smell bad, your teeth yellow, your finger nails get yellow, you get wrinkly and look like you're aging when you're not.

Also one of the main reasons why smoking isn't banned is because it makes the government a whole lot of $$
