A brilliant
subject I know, but I want your opinion on it.
Not just, ‘smoking
is bad’, I need more than that. I want ‘smoking is bad because....’ I need
reasons. Of course if you don’t have the time, or just don’t want to talk about
it, I’m not forcing you. I fact I can’t force you cause I’m all the way over
here in Australia, anyway.
I have to
write a huge essay on smoking, and I’d like some other opinions other than my
own. I don’t want it biased. So if I have your ideas as well as mine, it’ll be
the best.
So far my
points are; advertising smoking, smoking in public places, children and
smoking.

It costs a lot of money, and I have better things to do with my money. It's unhealthy. It makes a person, their clothes, and furniture smell bad.

It's addictive, and even people who want to stop, can't sometimes because they don't have the will power. This leads to blaming their problems on themselves, which can lead to depression, which can lead to suicide, which can lead to death.
I think I overthunk this sort of.
My uncle smokes, and he's a fireman. He wants to stop, but it's a habit, so. He blames it on the commercials when he was a kid that portrayed the message that smoking is cool.
Smoking is basically a drug, like alchohol. Other drugs are illegal, but smoking isn't. What's wrong with this picture?

What Holmes said. It is addictive, it's terrible for you, it can give you lung cancer, it smells bad, and I personally think smoking should be banned.

I think smoking is bad because:
- it causes cancer.
- it ruins your voice.
- it's addictive.
- it smells bad.
- it's bad for your health.
Smoking is not only bad for the smoker but also bad for the people around him/her. People who have a smoker around them all the time get a lot of second-hand smoke, which is just as bad as smoking itself.

Do you mean cigarettes with nicotine in them or pipes or cigars or joints or what? Because it really does depend upon what the person is smoking.

Um... I actually liked the smell of cigarettes when I was little so I inhaled it a lot. I know that it's bad now so I stopped but still, my lungs are probably not in great shape- which is why I get winded going up stairs but not swimming thousand-something metres of kicking with a board and with my head up. Smoking should be illegal...
Oh and it kills people. My grandpa died from it (before I was born so I never knew him) and my aunt also smokes... and my uncle... so the love of smoking is hereditary.
And smoking weed is gross. Green stuff getting shoved down your throat is like shoving down brocolli...

Inhale, exhale, breath, swallow; anyway stuff goes into the lungs of probably half the kids in my neighbourhood so same thing imo.
