it's my CBversary! 

are CBversary posts even a thing anymore? i haven’t seen too many lately. well, i guess i’ll do one, for old times’ sake, if nothing else :P 

my first CBversary post was a novel and my second was a sentence, so I’ll try to keep this one somewhere in between (you’ll have to allow me a bit of sappiness, though :P)

so, three years, huh? that means the CB’s been a part of my life for over a fifth of my time alive. that’s pretty crazy. the CB’s seen me through some of the greatest moments in my life, and some of the most difficult, through three years of middle school, a pandemic, the loss of some of my pets, high school applications, the actual start of high school, a school-, city-, and state-wide history competition, various hyperfixations, and so much more. it’s helped me grow as an artist, a reader, and a writer, of both poetry and prose, but beyond that, it’s helped me grow as a person. the CB is such an integral part of my life, of the person i am and the person i want to become.

and when i say “the CB” i really mean all of you, both the wonderful CBers of today and those of the past, and of course the admins. you guys are what makes this place so special. and yeah, this place has changed quite a bit during the time that i’ve been here, but it’s always remained a hub of creativity and imagination, full of caring, kind-hearted, and talented people.

i’m so thankful that little eleven-year-old pangolin stumbled upon this place. the CB really is a place like no other, and i’m so grateful for every day i get to spend on here, surrounded by such amazing people <3

and special shout out to all my Kyngdom people!! i’ve only begun to explore Kyngdom in these last few months, and i can’t express how much i’ve enjoyed breathing life back into it (…or attempting to) with you guys. (and i know i kind of dropped off the face of Kyngdom because of novel writing but i promise i’ll post my replies soon!!) :D

i don’t think i’ll be able to do a written picturings thread or CB ball or anything like that (yay rapidly-approaching midterms!), but how about a q&a? feel free to ask me anything (within reason, ofc) :D

thank you so much, Poinsettia!! (slightly unrelated but my grandma got some beautiful poinsettias today and they made me think of you :) ) you're also such a valuable part of the CB--you're such a warm, friendly, and passionateperson, and your writing is so beautiful and heartfelt (ik i've said this many times before but your solo write is just so wonderful, and your poetry is so beautiful and it captures emotion really well). i'm so glad i know you <3
that's a good question, i honestly can't remember! i think i started using that location late 2021/early 2022 (?) when i was really into sci-fi books, and i wanted a location that felt sci-fi-y but also kind of magical? ...but yeah i really don't know XD

also!! i know we were in the middle of RPing with Arum and Kaspar when i kind off dropped of the earth because life got pretty busy--i'm so sorry about that! it would be really cool if we could continue shipping them, if you'd like? they're so cute together <3

yeah! a date on AE Diaries would be great! hiking sounds perfect--maybe they could go snowshoeing or something wintry (despite the fact that i know nothing about snowshoeing--)? it's up to you :D

3 years!!! I can't believe we've been here for that long. As Periwinkle said, I remember us both being pretty new and striking up a conversation at Daydreams Cafe- I was so excited to connect with someone on here, and you were so nice and welcoming. Pangolin, you're such a warm, comforting, and supportive presence on the CB and I'm so eternally grateful that we both found our way here. Who knows if I even would have finished my ski lodge if you hadn't been there cheering me on every step of the way? I love you sm (/p) and hope that we both stick around for a while longer <333

Silver!! thank you so much! <3 ik you only joined a month or so before i did, but when i first joined i thought you'd been around much longer. you were just so warm and welcoming to me, and you've continued to be such a caring and supportive member of the CB. i really admire your writing--your ski lodge was incredible (i should really give that a reread sometime) and your poetry is absolutely breathtaking. and i really appreciate how supportive you are of all my ~writing endeavors~--your thoughtful comments on my ski lodge mean so so much (...and i promise i'll have another part out soonish...). thank you for literally everything you do, and i hope we stay around for a little longer too <33 love you (/p)
