are CBversary posts even a thing anymore? i haven’t seen too many lately. well, i guess i’ll do one, for old times’ sake, if nothing else :P
my first CBversary post was a novel and my second was a sentence, so I’ll try to keep this one somewhere in between (you’ll have to allow me a bit of sappiness, though :P)
so, three years, huh? that means the CB’s been a part of my life for over a fifth of my time alive. that’s pretty crazy. the CB’s seen me through some of the greatest moments in my life, and some of the most difficult, through three years of middle school, a pandemic, the loss of some of my pets, high school applications, the actual start of high school, a school-, city-, and state-wide history competition, various hyperfixations, and so much more. it’s helped me grow as an artist, a reader, and a writer, of both poetry and prose, but beyond that, it’s helped me grow as a person. the CB is such an integral part of my life, of the person i am and the person i want to become.
and when i say “the CB” i really mean all of you, both the wonderful CBers of today and those of the past, and of course the admins. you guys are what makes this place so special. and yeah, this place has changed quite a bit during the time that i’ve been here, but it’s always remained a hub of creativity and imagination, full of caring, kind-hearted, and talented people.
i’m so thankful that little eleven-year-old pangolin stumbled upon this place. the CB really is a place like no other, and i’m so grateful for every day i get to spend on here, surrounded by such amazing people <3
and special shout out to all my Kyngdom people!! i’ve only begun to explore Kyngdom in these last few months, and i can’t express how much i’ve enjoyed breathing life back into it (…or attempting to) with you guys. (and i know i kind of dropped off the face of Kyngdom because of novel writing but i promise i’ll post my replies soon!!) :D

Ahh happy CBversary, pangolin! I'm so happy you're here on the CB <33 Thank you for being an amazing friend to me and the other CBers here these past three years.
I know I talk about this all the time but you really were so welcoming to me when I joined. I was so happy to get to know you and when I was new here this place felt big and I didn't really know how to talk to people. I particularly remember Daydreams Cafe - I was so excited to roleplay with you. From the start, you felt like a friendly face to me. I hope you know how much I appreciate that you've always been a friend to me. Love you platonically <3
As for questions, hmm… What's your favorite genre of story to write? To read?

aah thank you so so much, Peri!! thank you for being such a kind and thoughtful person, and for always being there whenever i needed a shoulder to lean on (figuratively, because...well, y'know XD)
i also remember daydreams cafe! that was one of the first threads/rps i really participated on, and i wasn't really sure what to do, and then you let me rp with you! it was one of the (the?) first times i'd ever really interacted with anyone on the CB, and you were just so kind and welcoming and yeah i'm just so thankful for that <3 and i've gotten to know you a lot better since then, and i'm so glad i know you. you're just such a really caring and creative person, and i really admire your writing (your ski lodge is just *chef's kiss*). you've had such a positive impact on the CB, and i'm so glad i know you <33 love you platonically too, Peri <33
ooh good question! to write, probably fantasy, specifically urban/contemporary fantasy! i really enjoy that sort of worldbuilding--figuring how magical elements can fit into our world, that sort of thing. but my favorite genre to read is either mystery, sci-fi, or fantasy. well, really anything with strong, vivid characters :)

thank you so much, Hawkstar! :D and thank you for being a part of the CB! i'll admit, i haven't spoken to you as much as i'd like to, but you seem like a really kind, energetic, and fun person, and a really talented writer! i'm loving your ski lodge so far, and it's really cool how you just about always submit something to the poetry contest :D
i like all sorts of music, but i suppose i mainly listen to indie alt/rock/pop stuff! some of my favorite songs right now are "Not Strong Enough" by boygenius, "Landscapes" by Lor, "My City" by Better Oblivion Community Center, and "All My Heros" by LEON :)

another good question! i named myself after the pangolins because they're my favorite animal, and i wanted to raise awareness for their wonderful (and unfortunately endangered) species! <3

Happy CBversary pangolin ackk!!! :DD 3 years, wow, congrats! I agree with everything Peri said, as I said before, you were the first one (you and the admins, thank you admins!!) who welcomed me to the CB (well, Kyngdom, but still), and you're always such a friendly name (cuz "face" doesn't really work here) to see around!! Your writing and poetry is always absolutely amazing, you're kinda my idol, so. And I know I've said this before but also love love love your name bc yess save the pangolins and vaquitas and saolas and yangtze giant softshell river turtles and yayy, churros! And blech yeah good luck on midterms/high school!!

oh my gosh thank you so much, Celine!! you're such a kind, genuine, supportive, and enthusiastic person, and i love your writing! it's so creative, and the emotions are always so vivid. your poetry in particular is so lovely and descriptive, and also really relatable! (and i've been meaning to participate in your text adventure, but someone always beats me to it XD) and i've really enjoyed RPing with you on Kyngdom and NaNo-ing (...yeah i don't think that's a verb) with you :D and yeah!! save the pangolins and vaquitas and saolas and yangtze giant softshell river turtles and ALL THE ANIMALS!! :D thank you for introducing me to those animals, because i hadn't heard of half of them before you made that endangered species thread! it's so great that you're raising awareness for these species!!

ooh good question! i'm actually not sure? i think i read some article about them at the beginning of 2020 and thought they were such incredibly cool creatures that we should definitely be protecting!! :D

thank you, Moon Wolf! :D i've really enjoyed RPing with you on Kyngdom!! you have so many good ideas for the woodland RP, and all your charries are so cool!! your writing style is so pretty, too--i love the descriptions and characterizations. the poems you post are always so lovely. i love the rhymes :)
my favorite part of the CB--hmm, i've got to go with ski lodges, i think! they're such a unique aspect of the CB, and i've really enjoyed reading and participating in them! i love seeing how each person has their own interpretation of the ski lodge genre--everyone is just so creative.

thank you so much, Parody!! i feel like you're a really friendly, energetic, and empathetic person, and you're so good at making people feel welcome and included. i really appreciate how you're always trying to understand other people's perpsectives <3
i'm fourteen years old, and my favorite hobby is probably snowboarding! or is that more of a sport than a hobby? i guess i'll go with calligraphy, then--i recently got a new dip pen, and it's especially fun to work on my cursive when so much of the writing i do nowadays is through typing :)
