Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

I've been watching

I've been watching you. I know your every move- the way your face will at first contort into confusion when you read this, then slowly shift into understanding. Let's make a deal- we play a game. You win, then you're free to go. If you lose...well, let's just say that you don't want to lose.

You don't know me. But I know you. There's something that you have no control over- a mystery that is unsolvable.

This is not a ski lodge. This is a test of sorts. Do not try to bargain or negotiate. The terms are set.

Join before December 31st.

Someone is watching you.

Cricket is not normal.

You must complete the challenge.

Be warned- serious consequences await those who fail.

You cannot see them, but they have been watching us for quite a while now. I am afraid you all are next. -Lunar Pearl

Let's continue.

"Thank you," the reflection says- to everyone except Nightfall DreamFire.

You step into the mirror, wondering what will happen. Will you be trapped also? Instead, you come across a room with three doors. One is blank. One has an eye. And one is pitch black with one white dot. You see a glass globe and decide to look into it. It speaks.

"They are all right- except when they are wrong."

I walk through the blank door.

I cautiously approach the blank door and examine it without touching it or opening it.

I touch and examine each door carefully. I finally open the blank door.

I open each one and look inside. There's no rule saying we could only pick one, and that one has to be our final choice. Once I know what's on the other side of each door, I can choose one.

I say "Well, isn't everything right except when they are wrong? I suppose there is neither right nor wrong, like an opinion. It's actually pretty impressive if they are never not right nor wrong -- maybe they don't have any opinions?"

I walk through the eye door, hoping it will give me some wisdom.

I'll also ask the globe which door I should choose.

I carefully look at each door, resisting the urge to run away as fast as I can. Where would I go, anyways. The eye is creepy, I decide, and the blank one is disturbing. The white dot is a light in the dark. I think. Maybe. I walk through it before I can change my mind.

I punch the glass, breaking it.

Now you're free, I say.

I’ll also ask the globe which door I should pick. After all, it probably knows more about this place than I do, right?

I'll examine and look behind each door, then choose the one that looks the most promising.
