Ansestory! Where are you all from? Who are you descended from?
This is an interesting topic (as you can tell I was watching one of those commercials about finding out your ancestors (and another big word that starts with an h that I forget)) and I want to know where you all are from, or if you have any interesting ancestors? Admins you too!
Here's me! I'm mostly Russain, but also part Italian and Scottish (Irelandish?)! Oh, and apparently im also Eurasian Jew, which is a race people, and that's where all my medical problems come from. And probably something else in there, or a few somethings. Oh and I'm also.....100% 'mer'can!
Some famous ancestors.....
My great great something greats step granduncle was Howard Hughes! The guy who flew a very big plane a mile!
And my grandpa claims that I'm related to the second president, John Adams, I think. Also like the twenty fith removed cousin of Barack Obama, but I'm not sure if he's telling the truth or not.

Well, I’m half Japanese, and related to Samurai. I’m a quarter Scottish, and my family used to be royalty in Scotland. And I’m also Norwegian and related to Vikings.
Somehow, I’m also loosely related to Stonewall Jackson, if any of you know who he is.

ahh that’s so cool! I’m kind of obsessed with Norway and learning Norwegian at the moment and I believe I’m a little Norwegian myself :]
Besides that though, I’m just incredibly English, like overwhelmingly English.

I'm mostly Italian, and a little bit Scottish, Irish, and British. I'm related to some one who was pretty important in the Revolutionary War, but most people have never heard of him. I can't say who it is because it would gove away my last name.

I'm mostly Scandinavian. My great-grandparents on one side immigrated to America from Sweeden. My great-grandma on the other side was Irish, so that makes me, hmmmmm. What's one-quarter divided by two? Then my grandma on one side, her parents immigrated from Germany. (though I guess that Germany is techically not in Scandinavia...) I'm also Finnish, from some long-lost ancester. Actually, the town/area where I live if filled with people related from Sweedish and Finnish inhabitants. Lots of foreign names, and holidays. Swedish last names, all that jazz. So, yeah. Really big Scandinavian roots.
I don't know who I'm related to that is famous. Probably no one. I've been trying to trace my family tree, and history without the use of an on-line site that costs money. So I've had the rely on my elderly family's dusty memories...great fun.

Swedish and Finnish, oh my what. My favorite webcomic artist is Swedish and Finnish and I love Scandinavia in general and just, I'm fangirling now.

I'm a quarter Irish, and an eighth English, German, Czech, and Polish each. I'm also a quarter Chinese. The only cool person I'm related to that I know of is the first Miss America.

On one side I'm Polish and Irish. On the other side, my ancestors came to America on the Mayflower.
My great uncle once removed (or something like that!) Says we're related to a prince of somewhere, but I forget where. And I'm related to a few other well known people but I won't reveal them for privacy reasons.
