Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

My beloved, much

My beloved, much loved, 7th Harry Potter book broke. Broken beyond no repair. Please join me in a moment of slience to mourn my book. ...

The spine fell off and chunks are coming out. It pains me so much to see a Harry Potter book like this. Really, any book. Okay, maybe not Twilight. But I don't want to throw it away, so I need ideas on how to reuse the pages, etc. I already have four coasters made out of Harry Potter pages, so I need more ideas... Anyone have some?

Ewys says fgdg. I do love fudge. Especially Mrs. Weasley's fudge!

Sure! I'm just going to clarify though because I wrote it in a confusing way, but I didn't actually make those coasters (though now I'll probably make my own as well). I bought them from a convention from people that save books when people try to throw them away and then they repurpose them into other items.

I will definetly try that! I'll have to look up precise directions on how to make origami though. My attempts usually end up as crumpled balls.

Oh NOOO! Not Harry Potter 7!

If you can bear to cut up some of the pages, you could quill with them. Quilling is when you take strips of paper or thinly shaved wood and roll them into swirls, which you can then attach together to form cool designs. You can look up tutorials online. I just use a nasty old pencil to roll the paper and liquid glue.

Huh. That looks really cool. I think I'll probably look up how to do it. Maybe I can combine it with some of the other suggestions...
