This is going to be the first book we read for the book club. What do you think about starting next week? (On sunday) We will try to read at least one chapter a day. If that's too short we might do two.
On second thought, maybe we should wait a little longer so that everyone can get their hands on a copy.

I think maybe we should just have one thread, and when it gets too long, then we make another one. People are already saying we have too many threads, and we don't want to make them angry.

That's what I was thinking. (About too many threads) It won't be very organized if we do it that way, but it might not matter. I'm wondering if I should make a new thread to start out, because this one is a little long, and there's so much planning going on that it would be hard to find where the discussion starts. I'll wait till Sunday morning or Saturday night to make it though, so people don't start posting! :)

Pirocks has just started a thread complaining about how many book club threads there are. Even more reason to keep the threads to a minimum!

I think that's a good idea. I guess I'll make one on Saturday, and only make a new one if people start complaining about it being too long.

Yah, or we could ask the WebMaster to create a new section. I know that's a lot to ask for, especially because we already have BaB, but it's something to think about!! :)

I'm going to camp on Saturday, so I doubt I'll be able to read that much at all. Could I just start around today so that I can finish it when you guys do?

Anyway, I looked it up on the Internet and Princess Academy seems like a good starter book. Though . . . maybe the boys wouldn't like it? I'm not saying we should change it (NO!!!! NO MORE OF THAT!!!), but I think we should make sure from now on that all books chosen are:
1. Not too girly (or vice versa)
2. For ages approximately 11-15
3. Not the majority being fantasy, sci-fi, etc., but varied genres. (Perhaps rotation of genres?)
What do you think? :)

Well, Reuben's already said he's going to sit out this round because it's too girly, which I must admit, it kind of is. Varied genres - well, since we're each going to take turns choosing books, and since we all have different tastes, I think that part will happen automatically. Sooo... when does this start?
