Internet Dictionary
Ok, now I personally hate internet speak/slang (whatever), but I need to know the meanings of some stuff, 'cause half the time I can't understand any of you. :)
Some of the stuff I already know:
lol: laugh out loud (and I know it can have add-ons, like rolling of the floor, or whatever)
btw: by the way
brb: be right back
FYI: for you information
Uh... I can't remember any more right now. So anyway, feel free to add on to and edit this internet dictionary!
Thanks!!!

I personally hate all those things. It makes it hard if not impossible to tell what people are saying.
(May 31, 2009 - 2:17 pm)
Me too, but we can't always stop people from using them (especially new people), so I figure, why not at least know what they're talking about, you know?
(June 1, 2009 - 12:52 pm)
Yeah, same with me, but now that I've finally gotten an IM, I found that they really are helpful, even though I'm a quick typer either way. :) But of course, I still refuse to use any like, 'how r u? I'm gr8!', because I find that waaay too lazy, so I just use one's like, 'brb' and 'gtg'. :)
(June 1, 2009 - 3:31 pm)
Yah, me too! I have AIM, but no one goes on it anymore, because they all have cell phones!!! :(
I used to be able to talk to all my cousins... Oh well...
But anyway, I use 'brb' and stuff like that! :D :D :D
(June 2, 2009 - 2:44 pm)
I'm sure I replied to this.... Anyway, aww sorry that nobuggy goes on your AIM anymore!! I really, really wish I could give you mine, but, hehe, I don't think the Admin would let me. :):)

The internet is a massive part of the world, which you know. My brother has more friends over the internet (he's into film making and has been for about two years, I think) than he does in real life. I agree that sometimes it's lazy, but sometimes internet jargon is very useful. There's no real cause to hate it. In my opinion, it just means that you're uncomfortable with it. If you saw it more, you might grow to like it.

Those are from the web dictionary of a mmog (massively-multiplayer online game - there's another one) that I'm not sure the Admins will let me post. Well, it's web dictionary minus the in-game terms, which are the vast majority. Thanks, RS! (if you play it, you'll get it from those letters. If you don't, it won't give it away.) Sorry that was so long.
