I am bored
I am bored and synesthetic, so I am making a list of people and the color of their names. If you don't know what synesthesia is, look it up on Wikipedia or read A Mango-Shaped Space. Also, I do not have the kind of synesthesia where you hear a noise and see a color, I have the kind that I just KNOW the color of words and some sounds. (What color, for examle is the word "moved"?) Those people I have forgotten, please just reply and I will add your name. For some reason, I seem to see the most words in some shade of red, pink, or blue.
Julia - Medium blue/shiny
Maddy - About the same color red as the background on this site/matte
Blair - Navy/matte
Paige - Sorry, gray, but your last name is pale yellow/matte
Lena - Dark pinkish red, but the "E" is white/sometimes matte, sometimes shiny
Jenni - Light bluish with a little tinge of gray/same as Lena
Willa - Chocolate brown/shiny
TNO - Black, but the "O" (Not the umlauts) is sometimes blue/shiny
Laura - Light browny-red/matte
Bekah - Powder blue, but REbekah is raisinish/matte, Rebekah is shiny
Kimberly - Light pink/matte
Meadow - very pale pine tree green/matte
Koffee - The color of coffee with a LOT of cream/shiny
Kake - Slightly darker pink than Kimberly/matte
Hope - Golden yellow/sometimes matte, sometimes shiny
Hannah - More orange than Hope/matte
Mary Jo - Mary is bright red, Jo is purplish royal blue/shiny
More later.

So do you think I have it? I have very strong color associations that I would list right here except I don't want to bore you all to sleep.
(March 17, 2009 - 5:33 pm)
Hee hee. Sorry, I'm a bit out of sorts. I have a cold, and it's really frustrating!!!!!!!
I was saying my age is brown, too. :)
Again, my deepest apology. :)
I'll try to act normal. :)

I'm not sure if you have it. I would like to see some (or all) of your color associations, though.
Oh, what does the year look like to you?
P.S. I'm not completely positive if I for sure have it.

Okay, it's boring and has a bunch of repeats but here goes...
A = red B = blue C = yellow D = dark green E = eggplant purplish F = white G = bright green
H = brown I = orange J = sorta dusty orange, like very light orange K = silver L = soft yellow
M = navy N = purple like E O = gray P = purple like E and N Q = silver like K R = magenta
S = green and sometimes yellow T = sandy tan, like the sand at a beach U = gray like O
V = dark green like E W = sparkly silver, like a rock X = brown like the wood of a new desk
Y = yellow like C Z, this is the really weird one = green with purple dots???
The months are all different people, like personification.
January = an old, old man
February = a cheerful woman in her forties
March = a sulky, cranky toddler
April = a tall, petite teenage girl
May = a bubbly, energetic kid around the ages of 8-10
June = a wistful, sad kid in his/her late teens
July = an old woman, slow and tired
August = a bittersweet, hopeful person
September = a no-nonsense, clean and practical person
October = a fun-loving, warm and friendly woman
November = a dreary, boring teenager
December = a dreamy, creative person.

I have faint colors like that for things like days of the week, months, and stuff like that. I think it's something most people have, because a lot of my friends have it, too.
So I think those of you who think the same kind of thing might not actually have it.
(March 19, 2009 - 5:56 pm)
Whoa! I think of months the same way you do! I think it has to do with the way they are pronounced. The only distance is April--I picture her as a warm girl with a huge smile.
(March 24, 2009 - 3:17 pm)
Wow, cool!
(March 25, 2009 - 3:12 pm)
By the way, I apologize if I put down anyone's birthday month here; it doesn't have anything to do with the people born in a month. My mom's in November, and she's not a dreary, boring teenager!

That's realy cool! I think I have that sometimes! For me, words, letters, and numbers all have different shapes, textures, and colors. The year looks like a line bent into 3/4ths of a circle, but with a big gap in between January and December. Weird, huh?
