BRACES! I just got 'em today. I was wondering if any of you guys have 'em, too, and if you have any tips for me? Oh, and they're purple.

I have braces. They hurt a lot! I take a sip of water and my tooth feels like its being ripped out. At least I only have them on the top...for now. Plus my cheek is being rubbed raw cause of the metal. (yes, I've tried wax. For some reason my teeth don't seem to like wax.) So if people say they don't hurt, don't trust them!!!!!!!!!!!!Frown

I have 'em. If you get 'em while you are 9 they do not hurt! I get 'em off in Oct. yayayayayayayayayaLaughing

I've had my braces off for almost a year. It doesn't hurt to get them off at all. My smile moved up almost half an inch because my lips didn't catch on the brackets anymore. They really aren't that bad - sure, they hurt, but it's worth it.

Ugh. I have braces. They hurt for the first week or so, and your teeth feel pretty weird, but you get used to them. You can get some annoying cuts in your mouth from them, and food always gets stuck in all the cracks and crevices, but there not so bad. Mine are just plain silver. They wouldn't let me have color. But I didn't have to have novacane(?). And it really doesn't hurt that much when they are put on. i have to go on the 14th so they can take x-rays and stuff. :(

Guess what. I got light blue last time and now they're not light blue anymore.

There a greenish color. It's really gross! :):) I can't wait to get them changed!!!
