I just felt like it becasue I'm bored, so let's see how many books you read this month. :)

So far I have only read the Apothecary by Maile Meloy.
And I finished reading The Golden Compass by Philp Pullman, which I had started in December.
Spammy says enyv. Envy. Are you jealous of someone?

I've read one book so far; Never Kiss a Witch by Hortense Ulrich. I wouldn't call it great literature. :)
(January 5, 2012 - 5:24 am)
I just finished Pendragon-The Merchant of Death, but I started that in December. Does it still count? I'm starting The Return of the King now. So confusing...
(January 5, 2012 - 10:09 am)
Solitary by Alexander Gordon Smith. Not as good as the first one. :/

New Year's Resolution: Actually finish one of these book count thingys
1. Anna Dressed in Blood
2. The Always War- Margaret Peterson Haddix
3. Forever- Maggie Striefvater
4. Daughter of Smoke and Bone
5. The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood
(January 5, 2012 - 3:12 pm)
@SC: YOU READ Anna Dressed in Blood AND Daughter of Smoke and Bone. WERE THEY GOOD? (notice how I respectfully DeCapitalize the books' names.) :P
And... it seems that it's your New Year's resolution to read them. AKA you haven't read them. But YOU OWN THEM? I PUT THEM (actually, only DaughterofSaB) ON HOLD AT THE LIBRARY AND I'M 7/9 HOLDS!
(January 5, 2012 - 4:38 pm)
No, it is my one and only New Year's Resolution to finish a Book Count. I've already read all the books. Both of them were AWESOME!!!

@ SC
I <3 Mary Peterson Haddix :)
(January 5, 2012 - 5:39 pm)
So far, I have finished...
1. The Candymakers by Wendy Mass (I started it in December but I think I read most of it this month)
2. Matched by Ally Condie
(January 5, 2012 - 5:38 pm)
Hmm, glad to find other incurable bookworms out there :)
I just finished the Old Kingdom series by Garth Nix. Awesomeness.
(January 5, 2012 - 8:52 pm)
Can I quote you on that? The incurable bookworm phrase is probably what my friends have been searching for years.
(January 5, 2012 - 10:30 pm)
SC--Nah, it's copyrighted :) ...Use it all you want.
I just got "the inventions of Hugo Cabret" from the library. The illustrations look amazing!
(January 6, 2012 - 5:28 pm)
Oh let's see... Life of Pi and Audition (theatre textbook) so far I think. Oh and if we're counting book-length fanfiction, the first book of laughably-terrible HP fic Rose Potter ((which you should not look up because it's NSFW))
(January 5, 2012 - 10:33 pm)
What did you think of Life of Pi?
I've read um... J.R.R. Tolkien: A Biography, which was wonderful, and I've embarked on an LotR reread. I'm only going to count that as one book once I've finished, because pedantry.

Liked it a lot. It was pretty... squicky at some points (Zebra gets eaten alive, for example. And that isn't a spoiler, it's at the beginning).
