Chatterbox: Blab About Books

RP set in the future!!!!
Ok, there are...

Ok, there are lot's of RPs for Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, Warriors, and a few that aren't based on books, but has there ever been an RP that is set in the future???? The year: 2184.

Name: Chloe Edelia

Age: permanently 15/ actually 98

Appearance: shoulder length dark brown hair, brown eyes, light skin, about 5" 4'.

Personality: sly, tricky, not very trustworthy.

Other: lives in hiding, barely ever shows herself. She's pretty much a cyborg, because many years ago, if someone that had no relatives died, their body was pretty much recycled, a little over 60% of it being replaced by technology, their brain replaced by a computer, etc. (yeah, i know, it's gross) Then they were sold as servants or given to businesses to use as messengers or helpers, etc. Chloe escaped from the business she was sold to after she had developed a personality and her "brain" had retrieved some memories of her life before becoming a cyber-servant. She got her personality and memories back, and has been hiding from the authorities for 77 years. (she was human 15 years, lived as a cyber-servant for 6, and has been hiding for 77, so that makes her 98 years old, but she stays 15 permanently.)

This looks awesome. I'll join...

Name: Cam Vedicchio

Appearence: Short blond hair with streaks of blue, green eyes. Various parts of her body are chunks of metal (like if you looked at her face, there would be metal bits, maybe one of her legs would be half metal...etc.) and she doesn't know why. Very, very tall.

Age: 16

Personality: Very understanding and intelligent, but also secretive and daring

Other: She lives in Australia with her father, who helps develop weapons for the planes. She only gets to see him during the morning and night. She has an ability to read prophecies through nature. On the day she returned home from Pluto, which was where her Sweet 16 was held (hey, it's 2184! Anything is possible!), she saw within a star constellation that it was her destiny to go work for the Underground in Brazil. (She had never agreed with the war in the first place, causing a lot of arguements with her dad.) She also has the nickname "Flyby" which is given to those who can make it back from interstellar travels without flying through a war zone.

She also can be very bold sometimes. Thought I'd bring that up to explain my next post.

Eva-

Lea, one of the workers from The Underground, came running up.Her brown eyes sparkled with excitement.

“Hey Eva!” She waved with her tan, graceful fingered hand.

Lea was something like a message carrier. She’d been tried inso many jobs, but some had gone wrong.

Take weapons for example. Lea has given more than one worker ascar from an accident shot.

The girl’s reliable, quick, and gossipy. Nothing more; nothingless.

“What’s wrong?” My atomatic response to someone running up tome in excitement. People would think that’s a good thing. In the Underground? No way.

Lea pushed a blond strand of hair behind her ear before sheanswered in a gush of words: “Chloe’s back, and she wants (deep breath) all ofyou to come to the meeting room over there,” she pointed down the lamp lithall. “What do you think she wants? Does she have bad news or good news?”Streams of question rolled out of Lea’s mouth, but I was already half way downthe hall.

I entered the meeting room quietly, and took a seat next to Shaneon the right hand side of the long steal table.

Chloe stood up at the front, expressionless and quiet. Hershoulder length brown hair seemed frizzy as if she hadn’t combed it for awhile. Other than that, anything I observed seemed almost-what should I say-Perfect.

Chloe gave us all a look that clearly said: Shut it. Then shebegan. "As most of you know, I recently went to Daristan to gather informationon Asialia's weaponry.”

Her head was held high, and her chest filled with pride.

"You sound like some government official or something.” Agirl with a spiky blonde pixy cut muttered.

A half smile danced across my lips. Chloe always acted llikethat. Like she was the head. She was the oldest, technically; one of our bestfighters; she was often sent on private missions.

I had yet to dream of a private mission. I’d been in theUnderground for four years. I’d gone on group missions, but NEVER had I been ona mission myself. I yearned to feel that same pride rise in my chest.

"I didn't find any information on their weaponry,” Chloewent on, completely ignoring the girl.

I could feel thesmall sliver of hope slide out of everyone.

"I found something that none of you will like to hear, but you'll be glad to know." The small sliver of hope flickered. "Haishiahas made an alliance with Asialia."

“WHAT?!” I exclaimed in anger. Haisha was a neutral island. We’dalready had a whole mission group try to convince them to join SA.

Other exclamations and angry words flew into the air.

“This can’t be happening…” I muttered.

“Oh sure it can.” Shane said.

Chloe took a folder out of her backpack, and then started topass around papers. The room became silent.

Shane took an angry look at the papers and handed them to me.

“This is bad,” was all he said.

I flip through the papers.

Conversations between the governors, deals, weapons, promisesthat would most likely be broken…

“We have to do something.”

Chloe looked at me.

“What?”

“We have to do something.”

“Eva…”

“Do you want us to sit around here? We need to organize amission to stop them. There may be a chance.”

“Eva…”

“Well, WHAT do you want to do?!” I couldn’t stand it whenChloe acted like she was something better.

“I-I…”

“Everyone for a new mission, raise their hands.” I slowly putmy hand up, and waited for the others.

Wait, wait, wait. Sorry, I'm confused. So who were all the people in your post, WritingWarrior? Who was the dark haired girl and the cyborg? Because there are 2 cyborgs, Chloe and Eva, and Chloe and Carter both have long-ish dark brown hair, though I'm guessing from the name and since Sam naever said, that Carter is a boy. (correct me if i'm wrong, Sam) Also, (sorry, not trying to be mean or bossy or anything,) Chloe isn't really part of the Underground, she only pops up from time to time to give them information or a new piece of machinery she managed to get without getting killed. So, sorry WritingWarrior, but you've lost me. I have no idea who the people are in your post. :P Would you mind clarifying? Then I would be much less confused. Thanks, and sorry to bother you about this. :)

sorry again. my second post popped up before my first post so it looks all confusing. first i posted that Writing Warrior had confused me, then i posted that i meant to say Claire, because Claire is who posted the thing that confused me. i'm having an off day. :P

So sorry for the confusion. The first person that thought I was a spy was supposed to be Carter. If Carter is a guy, just ignore the fact that I thought Carter was a girl. The second person, the part cyborg, was supposed to be Chloe. I thought that since I was different and they didn't know any thing about me, they hoped that she would show up and help, which she did. If that's wrong, or not like her, or you just want to change it, I can. Who can I decide I like to be a big bro/sis figure? If they are not very welcome, that would be even better for the story. Thanks! I won't be able to post Friday through Sunday or Monday. I can't wait for this story to get up and going. It has an exellent story line. BYE!

OK, so how about I came to give them a new piece of machinery, then they invited me to stay for the meeting with Claire's character? Then Claire's post makes sense. :) That work for everybuggy? My post starts right where Claire's left off:

Chloe--

"We don't know anything about her!" I protested. Carter wanted to have this girl killed because she was different. Yet almost everyone here had something about them that wasn't considered normal. Even me. Especially me.

"No information means no proof she's not from Asialia." Another kid, Shane I think was his name, countered.

"No information means no proof she is!" I yelled. I got up from my seat and went to stand behind the girl.

What am I doing? I thought as I did it. It was very unlike me to do anything that didn't benefit me. Something about how young the girl was, and how much we were the same, led me to do it. I had been being hunted for my differences for a long, long, long time. I wouldn't let this girl's life end because of her differences. Especially at the hands of kids barely older than she was. The Underground wasn't exactly peaceful, but at least they weren't yet killers. I shuddered to imagine Carter or Shane or Eva as an assassin. Once one killed, there was no going back. Ever. Even after death. I should know better than anyone how true that was.

"How can we know that she's not a spy?" Eva asked.

"A lie detector test?" another boy suggested. I didn't know his name.

"Fine. We'll give her a lie detector test in an hour." Carter said. "Chloe, feel free to leave whenever you want."

"I don't need your permission to leave." I snapped. There. I was back to myself again now.

"She wasn't saying you do." Shane said. "She's just pointing out that you don't need to stay if you don't want to."

"Whatever. See ya' in a couple days." I said, and turned to leave.

Once I was at the exit to the Underground, I pressed my thumb to the scan-pad so it could read my print and make sure I wasn't an intruder. It opened up just enough for me to squeeze out of the tiny doorway, which on the outside said EMPLOYEES ONLY. I nodded to the teenager at the register of the small shop, who was actually an Underground member who guarded the main entrance.

Odd, how you can hide things in plain sight. No one shopping in the little store knew that behind the EMPLOYEES ONLY door was a set of stairs that led down to a top secret rebellion against Asialia. No one on the street realized the girl who walked out of that store was a cyborg, about to do something crazy, dangerous, and most likely stupid, in order to get information to the rebellion.

I walked to the bus station and rode to the airport. I handed the heavily built guard outside a wad of cash, and he let me in without checking my ID. It was something we had done many times before, we both knew the drill. I gave him cash, he let me in. As soon as I was inside I went over to another door that wasn't available to be used by the public. It led me to a private runway, where a private jet sat.

"So where you wanna' go?" a familiar voice asked.

"You're sure no one will miss it if you fly my somewhere?" I asked Tasha, the jet's pilot. Tasha was part of the Underground, so I got to ride in style when I needed to go somewhere.

"Nah'." she said. "It's not being' used for another week, so you and me can travel the world." She grinned.

"Daristan, capital of Asialia." I told her.

"Dag nam it, why can't we go somewhere where you're not wanted for about a billion different things?" she complained.

"Where do you have in mind?" I asked, knowing already what her answer was. She thought for a moment.

"Nowhere. You've made yourself infamous all over the place."

"Exactly," I said. "So take me to Daristan. I have an appointment with the governor."

"That he wasn't informed of, right?" Tasha asked.

"You got it." I grinned. I love my job.

Ok, I won't be able to post at all tomorrow or Saturday because I'm going on vacation. Over the next two weeks I may not be able to post much, but I will when I can.
And one more time CARTER IS A GIRL!

Carter-

After Chloe left the girl was just standing there. "What's your name?" I asked. "Alexiana," she said. I immediately didn't trust her. Then again I didn't trust anyone here. No one even knew my last name. But I was the best pilot in the entire rebellion, so no one cared. I turned to Shane. "Add her into our regement. Maybe she won't kill us in our sleep," I said. He nodded and went off to a computer. That just left me Eva and Alexiana. "So Alex," I said. Her mouth twitched like she was going to say something but didn't. "Is there anything you want to tell us?" I asked. A pencil on the table started to levitate itself. I stared at her. "Did you.....?" She nodded. "I'm going to go take a test flight," I said, freaked out. I thought I'd seen everything. But this, this was extreme.

I was on my way to the hangar when Alexiana caught up to me. "I can move things with my mind. I'm telepathic," she said. "No duh, but how?" I asked. And she silently went on explaining.

Alexiana Infinity~~~~

"No information means no proof she's not from Asialia," a girl with sandy brown hair retorts.

"No information means no proof she is!" she yells. She gets up from her seat and stands behind me. My heart melts. The only person that has't run away from me or wanted me dead since the Accident. The others in the room shifted uneasliy.

"How can we know that she's not a spy?" a very tall girl with black hair and eyes that remind me of chocolate wonders.

"A lie detector test?" another boy suggests. I love how they act like I'm not here or incompetent.

"Fine. We'll give her a lie detector test in an hour." The girl who wanted to kill me finally gives in.  "Chloe, feel free to leave whenever you want." C-H-L-O-E. I taste the sounds. And boy, do they taste good. Chloe.

"I don't need your permission to leave," she snaps. She really reminds me of m... I stop in mid-thought, correcting myself. Of who I was before the Accident. I've turned colder, less loving. (That makes me wonder why I've attatched myself to Chloe.) They say it made me even more beautiful, but my eyes are a solid gold. I don't actully mind, but it creeps people out.

"She wasn't saying you do." The girl with sandy brown hair tries to play peacemaker. I doubt that this is a rare occurrence. "She's just pointing out that you don't need to stay if you don't want to."

"Whatever. See ya' in a couple days." She turns to leave. I want to grab her hand and make her stay. I bang my fist on the table, which shocks people back into knowing I'm there.

"I really liked how you included me in the conversation and took my opinions into account. It really makes me want to answer all of your questions and to cooperate. Just thought you would like to know," the peacemaker girl says.

"Well, umm, see you in an hour." I get up and slam the chair into the table. I know, totally childish of me, but I am only 12. I shove past the teen who took me here and find my way to my room. I don't even bother to open telekineticly, and violently yank down the handle, close the door, and throw myself onto the bed. I hear the door click locked behind me.

"Chloe." I test it out. I like it. "Chloe. Chloe." I sigh, as a warm mushy feeling over comes me, and I begin to drift into sleep. I haven't felt this good for a very long time. The last thought I think before drifting off is, "I can't wait to see her again."

umm....Alexiana, the person you're referring to as the peacemaker girl is Shane, who is actually a boy.

@ ~Sam~

No one ever said Carter wasn't a girl since the first time you said that. I don't think you had to say it again. (Not trying to be rude though, just pointing it out. Sorry if it sounds like I'm bossing you around, 'cause I'm not trying to.)
