Yeah, I know that these are getting old. But I was really in the mood for another RP and I haven't been reading much fiction because I'm doing Greece research. Sooo, anyone wanna join? Before Harry?

I might join. Personally, I think it would be really cool to do it when Hogwarts was first being founded, in the year 983 or whenever it was. Since there'd be fewer magical schools then, you could even do someone from ancient Greece if you want. It would certainly be long 'before Harry,' and it would be something different.

Sure, why not? It sounds like fun ((and it would take my mind of the AGONIZINGLY LONG thirteen school days until I graduate)). Also the Founders are awesome and stuff.

Is it OK, if I'm just a student? I'll be from Spain. This'll be cool! And remember, they wouldn't have as many students as they do now. I'll be using Harry POtter Wiki a lot! :)

So what are some plot ideas? I think we could either do an account of the first year there and the challenges and everything, or we could do the year Slytherin left, or we could do a CoS parallel with the Chamber opening (It was never said that it never opened before Riddle's time, just not after it until Harry's time), or we could combine all those or use another idea that someone else has. I'd like a combination, personally, but I'm not sure how realistic it'd be for it all to have happened in one year...
Note about Slytherin: His last name is Spanish, so he's probably from Spain. Ochagavia village, Salazar Valley, Roncal-Salazar County, Pyrenees (a mountain range), Navarre (presumably a city), Spain, Europe (Planet Terra, Sol System, Milky Way Galaxy, Weissnichtwo Universe, etc--I copied and pasted it from a website, and it seems a bit excessive, but oh, well) has at least one fen, so I predict that he's from there and it was named after him (in the Potterverse, of course). That would mean the other Founders probably have their own villages/small towns, too...

As long as we're calling Founders... can I be Salazar? *Bambi eyes* I won't make him too evil. Or evil at all really. I've always just pictured him as a Well Intentioned Extremist.

Sure! That'll be great, actually; I'm sure he'll be awesome. I've also always imagined him that way--"He's not evil, Hermione! He's just a little bit dark and a whole lot Slytherin." I've always thought Ron was way too judgemental about him and his House... Not just him, of course, but especially him. And at least one of his parents, since that must be where he heard he was a 'twisted old looney'--because really, he might have been, but even if he was--which is unlikely if Gryffindor was friends with him--how would he know? It was over a thousand years ago, and I doubt he asked the Sorting Hat/the Grey Lady/anyone else with a chance of knowing.

@TNO: What are you graduating from??
Yeah, we could do founders. That would be great, though I would prefer not to be one because then I would spend a million years researching them, and I already do enough research.
TNO is graduating from high school and will be off to college in the fall.

Ooh, cool! Ironically, my cousin is graduating from college in 10 days. Soo, what year should this be in? Like, ancient ancient times? First off, when exactly was Hogwarts founded?

It was Founded at least 1000 years before the 5th book, according to the Sorting Hat, and the 5th book took place in... The early 90s, correct? That would mean it wouldn't really be ancient ancient times, but just before the beginning of the second millenium--which would be early medieval times, I think. I don't know much of what was happening then, but it'll be interesting to find out.
