Well, of course not. That isn't what I meant. I'd certainly rather have that Bible than none at all. I just meant that I wasn't really getting as good an experience reading that particular Bible as I would with some other versions, so I thought it was time I got a version that suited my particular needs at the time more. At the moment, I get more out of reading the other Bible than my first one. Sorry for being unclear before.
I currently have an NIV, but I used to have an NIrV, which I outgrew at about age 10. The R stands for New International Reader's Version, which is quite a bit simpler written. I can see how it got a bit young fore you, Ima. You seem a fairly advanced reader. :)
@Vida: I'm not so big on the Message, because to me it seems kind of like someone rewrote the Bible to read more like a novel or something, which I don't think goes with the Bible at all. But the novel type writing might be what other people like about it. :)
