The Bible is awesome! I am just awed every time I read it. it's so full of wisdom. I love the Song of Songs and definitely Psalms. And the Apocalypse. (Did I spell that right???)
Me too! I never used to be a Bible reader when I was younger, for some reason, but I somewhat recently decided to keep the Bible by my bed, and I try to read it book by book every night. Psalms are so beauitful and relaxing to read. Ima, congratulations! I would call that a big feat to read the entire Bible!

It's amazing to think how God wove together every single detail of history, ultimately leading up to the story of Jesus's death and God's redemtion for us. It's like one big, fantastical book, that's actually TRUE! I. am. in. awe.

Yes Hannah, it is amazing how GOD wove it all together to make it so great. I am reading through Revelation right now. It can be scary at times. Like Rev. 6. That is a very scary chapter. Its about the seals and the horses.
What versions does everybody have, and like??
I have The Amplified, NIV, NLT, CEV, KJV, ICB.
I think the Amplified tells it like it is, it also explains is (for me that is AWESOME!), and the NIV makes Revelation make sense, NLT, well, it can be confusing but I like it. CEV is written on like a third or fourth grade reading level, so that's good for me also, the KJV is really hard to understand. I do not like it. With all the thees and thous and uuugh! ICB is sort of hard to understand, but I like it too.
I want a Message soooo bad!! It is writting for like kids my age. The man who made up that translation wrote it to help his teen daugter understand the BIBLE more. I heard the NASB is like the Message too, but I like the message. It is my favorite translation, and I don't even have it! LOL!
So what translations you ya'll like????
And Admin, I made a Bible Prophecy Bookclub, and you deleted it. Why???
Vida, the topic is not appropriate for our Web site. You should discuss things like that at church. You can ask your parents or at your church if there are religious Web sites for your age group.

I have a devotional NIrV, but I outgrew it, so I don't use it anymore. It's the version I read all the way through, though (because I was 8 at the time), so I know it best. I can't remember what the version I have now is called, but it's some scholarly Oxford version that's really... thought-provoking. I feel like I get much more out of reading that version than most of the others I have, so I really like it.
I agree! One of my favorite books!
P.S. I'm new, too!

I love the book of Revelation!!!!!!!
(March 9, 2011 - 2:02 pm)
Me, too! It can be a little confusing at times, but I like knowing what the future holds. :)

Yeah!!! The Bible is awesome! My favorite book (of it) is Esther.
(March 9, 2011 - 7:49 pm)
I LOVE Esther, too! She was SO courageous. I want to be like her!

Oh, yes, I love it. I read it (the whole thing, I mean) in 3rd grade and stll take it out often enough.

I'm reading through Psalms! Today, I read Psalm 67. What's the Apocalypse?
*googles "apocalypse"*
Oh, it's also the book of Revelations. Yes, you spelled it right.

Thanks! It was a rather simplistic version, but I suppose that's only to be expected as I was rather young... Anyway, I have a different version now.
(March 10, 2011 - 10:02 pm)
I haven't ever read through the whole thing, but I read part of it every day. In the mornings before I get out of bed. It helps wake me up. :)

I really like Proverbs and Revelation's pretty good too. (but I find it a bit scary sometimes)
