Your Hogwarts House?
Because I'm bored...
Because I'm bored and I like to procrastinate, I've been taking a bunch of Sorting Hat quizzes. I've been put into Hufflepuff twice and Ravenclaw once. I personally think that I'm either a Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. Mostly Hufflepuff. What house do you guys think you would be in if you were Sorted?

Generally I seem to get either Slytherin or Ravenclaw. Possibly because I am a coward and am not nearly friendly enough/connected enough to make Gryffindor or Hufflepuff.

Meh, Sorting Hat quizzes are no help. I've been put into all four Houses by various quizzes. Better to decide for yourself.
Anyhoozle, the Houses stand thusly:
GRYFFINDOR, the House which contains all the PROTAGONISTS! And, accordingly, is blatantly favoured both by the author and quite a few teachers.
SLYTHERIN, the House of VILLANY!
RAVENCLAW, the House of GENIUSES! Which apparently contains a disproportionately large number of attractive girls.
HUFFLEPUFF, the House for EVERYONE ELSE!
NB: The last two houses do not, for all intents and purposes, exist.
So, yeah, Ravenclaws FTW. Underappreciated, underrepresented, overworked... but we apparently contain like 90% of the brainpower in the whole castle and so we will one day take over the world and show them all, especially with MoR!Harry on our side.

Ah, but if you do have MoR!Harry on your side, that means that the characterizations of the other houses/characters must change, too, to prevent godmodding problems, thus:
GRYFFINDOR: The house of brave-to-the-point-of-stupidity, somewhat boisterous students!
SLYTHERIN: The house full of bigots, but only because non-bigots choose other houses! But don't worry, Harry and Draco are planning major reforms in addition to all the good Quirrelmort is doing! Also, they have time-turners!
RAVENCLAW: The house of the eternally, cripplingly curious!
HUFFLEPUFF: The house of friendship, kindness, tolerance, and Neville Longbottom (Grey Knight of Chaos)!
...The thought occurs that, in MoR, Gryffindor is the useless house. More or less. Although Ron does appear to be a major lieutenant of Sunshine Army, so they aren't as mistreated as badly as Hufflepuff was in canon.
...
...Still Ravenclaw/Slytherin for me though (er, minus the "bigot" part, natch).

I'd definitely be in Ravenclaw either way. That's good, because I'd want to. I value the Hufflepuff qualities the most, but A) I want to be in a house that contains people I'd actually have something in common with (That's not to say I don't have any Hufflepuff qualities; I'd definitely be there if there was no Ravenclaw. However, I have almost nothing in common with most of the people I know IRL, and I certainly have enough trouble making friends as it is; I want to be with the people I have the most in common with.), B) As HP said in OGNA!, Hufflepuff's name is terrible and sounds like a marshmallow, C) since I know the Sorting Hat would put me in Ravenclaw, I already have some House Pride, and D) I really, really want to know why Ravenclaw never wins the House Cup and help change that.
Of course, I wouldn't actually be going to Hogwarts if I was a Potteresque!witch. I'd be going to Salem Witches' Institute.
Since when does Ravenclaw have so many attractive (to HP) girls? I can only think of Cho.
Aetc says gupg! He has a pet guppy whose name starts with G.

I forgot to mention that I took a quiz and it put me in Hufflepuff.

Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff... I'm not courageous...

Elizabeth's post isn't up yet, but Admin, I wrote the name of a fanfiction on this thread and it was changed to Oh Gosh Not Again!. That's fine, but someone wrote it on the Harry Potter And The Methods Of Rationality Thread and it wasn't changed; if you don't think it's appropriate, maybe you should change that, too? And if so, change mine to OGNA so that it isn't the incorrect name of the story because I'm just a perfectionist like that (but I understand if you don't want to do this)? Or did you just change it here because you didn't realize it was the name of a story someone else wrote and you thought I was using the Lord's name in vain which might offend people, whereas on the other thread you could tell that everyone who used it was just repeating what they read, in which case it might be better to change this one to the original so as not to confuse people? Sorry if I'm just being too picky, but either way, I don't think it should be edited in one place and not another...
Ima, thanks for your above comment. I did change the title. Now I've changed it again to OGNA as you suggested. There are three different Admins, and we may have different opinions on what to post or change before posting. I would change the other thread, too, if I could easily find it.

I just took another Sorting Hat quiz that I think was excellent, and it sorted me into Ravenclaw. My scores out of each house were
Ravenclaw: 93% worthy (I'm honored! Seriously, 93%?! That's an A! It's practically a guarantee!)
Gryffindor: 69% worthy (Honestly, I didn't think I'd be this worthy! That's nearly 70%)
Hufflepuff: 58% worthy (I really thought I'd do better than that. Hm.)
Slytherin: 47% worthy (That surprises me; I didn't think I'd be so worthy. I suppose I'm ambitious enough, but I'm not cunning at all.)
And no, it didn't actually use the word worthy, but that was the impression I got. Of course, those add up to much more than 100%, but I don't think this is the Houses representing an amount of your personality as much as you having a certain amount to the House characteristics.

I just took another and was sorted into Ravenclaw again.
(February 19, 2011 - 1:24 pm)
I just took yet another that said Hufflepuff, but it didn't seem very reliable. And no, I am not biased; I thought this before I was sorted. The other test that put me in Hufflepuff seemed very good.
Aetc says something that would not be allowed...

Where do you find these quizes??
(February 19, 2011 - 4:10 pm)
I'd like to be in Ravenclaw, and probably would be. However, if Gryffindor hadn't been so perfect and overused in the books, turning me off about it, I do have a lot of those qualities.
Luna is also mentioned as pretty, if oddly dressed, and supposedly Cho's friend Marietta was quite pretty as well. And Padma was not described as ugly.
(February 19, 2011 - 6:11 pm)
Re: Padma: "Not described as ugly" is a bit of an understatement; one of the boys in Harry's year calls her one of "the two best-looking girls in our year."
Also, I challenge you to name a male Ravenclaw outside of Flitwick.

Micheal Corner and Anthony Goldstein. That's only 2, and they're not major characters, but do I get points anyway?
Aetc says purm; his cat's getting a perm.
