Chatterbox: Blab About Books

HP Quote Game
1 person posts...

1 person posts a quote from HP, and then we try to guess who said (if it's spoken) it where in which book. Whoever does picks the next quote.

"She laughed at my mustache!"

The "Our Teddy!" quote was from the uber-contrived epiologue in book seven, spoken by James.

I know Rachel's! It's James in DH's Epilogue, talking to, um, Ginny or HP or both (I don't remember, but both were present, anyway. I have a feeling it was Ginny, though.)

Could Hannah's be Ron in DH trying to convince HP that Snape's silver doe Patronus was actually Dumbledore's?

Is Kat's Moody? Hm...

I think Hannah's is Harry in DH trying to convince Ron that the silver doe was really Dumbledore's Patronus?

I don't know where Kat's is from...Is it Uncle Vernon? Wait, no, I think it's Ron yelling at Hermione about Crookshanks who is in his dormitory chasing Scabbers again in PoA. Am I right?

"Pity sugar makes it useless."

Brynne's is Lupin in PA, referring to the Wolfsbane potion. I love Lupin... *remembers that he died* *bursts into tears* *runs away sobbing* It's not fair! Why, JKR? *Why?!*

Yes, Brynne's is Lupin in PoA, referring to the Wolfsbane potion. OK, I'll post one:

"There's no need to call me sir, Professor."

XD

Andy P. C. says biin. And that reminds me of: "WEASLEY WAS BORN IN A BIN, HE ALWAYS LETS THE QUAFFLE IN, WEASLEY WILL MAKE SURE WE WIN, WEASLEY IS OUR KING." Not a nice song, I know, but me and NDT made up a Gryffindor version together that's much more complimentary.

Hannah's isn't up yet, but your first quote was HP to Snape.  Snape corrected HP's words by adding a 'sir' to them, and HP replied that way... Was it in HBP?

The 2nd, of course, was the Slytherins in HBP about Ron the Keeper.

Wait... How on Earth did I reply to Hannah? I was positive that her comment wasn't up yet when I commented, so what happened. I could've just not seen it, I suppose, but that doesn't explain how I hit the reply button.

@Ima: Prob'ly what happened was that you replied to me, but Hannah had already replied first, so you ended up replying to her instead. That's happened to me before.

Andy P. C. says wieg. He's still on about his wig (see Hunchback of Notre Dame post in Pudding's Place). Did it not fit right, Andy?

@Hannah/Ima: Yes, both of your guesses are correct. It was in HBP, Harry to Snape. It always makes me crack up when I read it.

OK, here we go again:

"Spare us. The brats of Mudbloods do not stir our sympathies."

Guess! Guess guess guess! I'll give you a hint: It wasn't Voldemort, and it wasn't Bellatrix, and it wasn't Malfoy, and it wasn't Snape. OK, guess!

Andy P. C. says kyog.

Yea, it is Ron in PoA, in the dormitory, because of Crookshanks, but he wasn't chasing scabbers, he was scratching Ron, and Hermione wasn't there.

"... I was willing to embrace mortal life ..."

And another: "Don't let go, now!"

Is Ima's first one Voldemort? I don't have any idea who said the second quote. Arthur???

Wolfgirl67's is Yaxley in DH during Mrs. Cattermol's hearing (and I know I didn't spell those name s right).
