The train lurched to a hault and the book I was trying to read slipped out of my hands and onto the floor; I hadn't been holding onto the book very hard because it had begun to get quite boring.

Remus picked up the book and handed it to me. 

I thanked him and put the book in my bag, deserting the idea of reading anything right now; I was way too excited... and hungry.

I then noticed that I wasn't wearing my robes.

"Och!" I exclaimed.

Everyone looked up at me. I blushed.

"What?" Asked Remus.

"Nothing," I lied, slipping out of the compartment to put on my robes. I hoped that just wearing my robes on top of my every-day clothes was acceptable, but I was not going to fully change in a hallway where people were soon to be walking.

When I had finished putting on my robes, people were getting out of their comparments holding a bag or coat.

I turned to go back into the compartment I had been in when the door slid open.

Remus appeared holding my basket with Caradoc in it. He handed it to me gingerly, and sure enough when I looked inside, Caradoc was fast asleep.

"Thanks," I said to him for the second time that night. "Again."

He smiled shyly.

"Again?" said Sirius. "What are you for the day? Mr. Goody Two-Shoes or something?"

Remus didn't look at him.

"No," James said. "It's the girl." And he pointed at me as if he didn't know it was rude to do so. "He must like her or something."

"Can't a person do a good deed without being harrassed about it?" retorted Remus, though his pale face turned a bit red and he wouldn't meet my eyes the rest of the night.

I left them without saying anything.

I walked down the hall trying not to be noticed, but because I wasn't looking ahead and instead at the floor, I walked right into my ex-friend, Haylee surrounded by her posse.

She let out an obnoxious squeal and said " Why Gwent, fancy seeing you here."

Her friends giggled and I said, "I go to school here in case you haven't noticed, which you probably didn't since you don't pay attention to a lot of things, like your classes." And it was true, she did not get good grades in her classes at all.

Her friends fell silent and Haylee glared at me but changed it to an evil sort-of grin and said, "See you still have that pathetic rabbit of yours. Wasn't it 'Card a rock' or something?"

"You know perfectly well it was 'Caradoc'", I said calmly; she was just waiting for me to break down and I wasn't going to let her.

"And I see you still haven't done anything with that awful hair of yours."

I got a little pink in the face. I never really brushed or combed my hair. I didn't know why either. 

"And you haven't fully dressed either. Tut tut, what a shame."

"Leave her alone, why don't you."

I turned around and saw Remus, the rest of his gang behind him.

"I had it under control," I mumbled, walking away from him and out onto the Hogsmead platform.

Not until after I stepped onto the platform did I realize that I might have hurt his feelings.

We see Prongs trying to get us to move, but we ignore him. He mutters to Evans, "My friends are following us."

For a second I swear I see her smiling, but the next second it's gone. "Oh, please come!" she says. "Just ignore them." And the two of them speed up.

I motion for Moony and Wormtail to wait, and as soon as the other two get a reasonable distance ahead, we start walking again. "Are you sure about this?" Remus asks.

"Of course I'm sure! I'm always sure! Trust me, this'll be good." Across the hall, I see one of Evan's friends, a Ravenclaw girl whose name I forget, also following them. She must've had the same idea we did. There's a small grin on her tired-looking face.

"Hi," she says.

"Hi," Moony replies.

She seems to be looking rather curiously at him, as if trying to figure something out. "You're following them too?"

"Yeah," I reply. "Your friend isn't that nice to James normally. Something's up."

"No," she agrees. "I figure she's planning revenge or something. I wanted to see."

"Same here. You wanna help us?"

"What are you planning to do?" she asks suspiciously.

I shrug. "Watch what happens and, when the opportunity presents itself, hex everything in sight."

She looks disgusted. "No, thanks." She returns to the other side of the hall.

I look at Remus. "What was that about?"

He shrugs.

"Huh." We continue on our way. We pass Sniv going the opposite way, shooting a jealous glance back at Prongs and Evans.
"Right," I mutter. "Keep far enough back that they can't see us. We're going to have some fun."

//Sirius//

I roll my eyes. First years. "Er, no. We're his friends and we're trying to help him."

"Oh," she says.

Remus glances at me. "Yeah," he says. "There's a girl that's going to --"

"-- hex him. And we want to protect him."

Peter looks puzzled. "But I thought --"

I stomp on his foot.

"Oh," she says. "That sounds like a good thing to do." I smile. First years are so gullible.

((Soon please. I can't, because I have to go since I'm not supposed to be on the computer. I have an 87% in Chemistry so Mom banned me. >.> should be back on by probably Wednesday, though, so I'll post then.))

((I didn't have a B because I was daydreaming and missed important information/knowledge *points at 95% on final, the highest grade in the class*, I had a B because I was lazy and didn't bother to turn in my homework. But it's fixed now...
