Rick Riordan wrote this series! I guess it's about Egyptian gods and goddess fighting a battle or something. I haven't read it yet, but I know that it's gonna be awesome! I don't exactly want this to be a rp, but a place where you can chat about characters, settings, things like that. But if people want this to be a rp, then I'll think about it again. I don't even know if the book's out yet, I just ordered it from my school book order. Huh, I never really thought of that....

Is this the new one he's coming out with? I hope so... the posters at all the bookstores look really cool. If it is, I will definitely show up here to discuss the characters, etc. If not, then I'm afraid I haven't read the Kane Chronicles and this post is a complete waste of everyone's time! Sorry!

Yeah, Tempest, I think you're right. The Red Pyramid, that's what the first one is. It looks really good.

YES! The Red Pyramid, that's right. Now that you say the name, it clicks. But yes, I'm going to read it when it comes out. I hope it's good.

Yeah, it's the new series. But I understand that no one has ever read it. But for now I'm just going to try and keep this thread on the front page.

Yep I heard about these. I'm interested to see how he does or if it turns out to be PJatO with different names.
Has it come out yet?

That's what I thought, too. Fortunately, however, if what I read was correct, it shouldn't be too similar.

I've been wanting to read this; I'll be sure to comment once I do. I think someone does something in it that releases malevolent Egyptian gods into the world, or so I read somewhere. Don't blame me if it's wrong, though...
But it looks really good. I heard about it on another website.

If you want to know more about it, go to wikipedia.org You just have to type in Kane Chronicles.

Yay! According to Wikipedia, I was right, and it won't be a rip-off of PJatO! I'm not sure how much I trust it, though; there were many typos...

(I'm the same as Sarah, just a different name) Yeah!!!
I'm gonna get it Monday, because I got it in a school book order, and since it is school, I can't get on the weekend. WAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
This is totally off topic, but do any of you guys like reading books over? I'm reading the Percy Jackson series for the 3 time! It's so good!! My brother, who hates reading, (how is he related to me????) whenever he walks into a room and I'm reading, he just looks at me in disgust:
It annoys me SO much!! Sorry that was off topic....
(I just found out how to do faces!)

I know how you feel. My school choir meets every schoolday for an hour, but we never actually need that much time, so we end up with much extra, which I use to read. And never does a week pass by without someone trying to convince me not to read. Why they do so I have no idea. As long as I don't try to convince them to read, I don't think they have any right to try to stop me, nor does your brother have any right to look in disgust at you. And how can they not have anything better to do than irk us, anyway? I just don't understand! I mean, it's perfectly fine if they don't enjoy reading themselves, but that doesn't mean they should try to change what we do in our leisure time. *sigh* People can be very confusing sometimes, and very irritating. I suppose one merely has to become accustomed to it...
I'll buy it sometime soon, but not yet, because I have about 10 books checked out from the library already.

FINALLY!!! Someone understands how I feel!!!! Thank you, Ima!! *cheers* I just read the first couple of chapters in the book, and it's the best thing since Percy Jackson!! (I'm still in love with that series.)
