"Greetings, I'm ...

"Greetings, I'm Oceanstar. This is my Clan, a Clan on an island in the ocean!" She walked across a tree bridge onto an island. Oceanstar walked through a tunnel of low hanging trees and entered a large island. "This is our territory. We are water cats, we love to swim and fish. I will give you a tour of the camp, but if you join, I will give a tour of our territory." She walked into a small forest of trees into a clearing. "This is our camp. The big stone at the far end is the High Stone. That is where I call Clan meetings. That hollow tree trunk over there is the apprentices den. There is another tree trunk, a smaller one, inside the trunk, that is kind of like a table that the apprentices eat at and share tongues." They continued their tour at the nursery, where there was a faint scent of milk and kits. "My sister once was living here. She died last moon, with her kits." Oceanstar became to sniffle, but stopped, "We must continue with the tour. Let's go to the warriors den." They walked towards a clump of brambles. "This is the warriors den. I used to be sleeping here, until a StarClan cat told me to go to the moon rock. The moon rock is kind of like the moonpool, but it's a rock on a part of the beach. Let's carry on at the elders den. It is a bush of brambles with a branch ceiling. Let's go to the medicine cat's den." They walked into a large rock with a crack in it. "The crack leads towards a small cave with two tunnels leading out of it. One of the tunnels leads towards the main and the med. apprentice's  den, and the other one leads towards the herb store. The small clearing when you first walk in is where the sick cats stay. It's also where the water spring is. I'm going to show you my den, alright? Let's go!" Behind the High Stone is a cave covered with sand as a floor. "The cave is my den, but it isn't hidden from the rest of the Clan. That is my Clan, and I hope you will join. Why don't you get some fresh-kill, and I will show you to your den. Thank you, and may StarClan be with you!"

Whispertide purred in amusement. "We won't start battle training 'til later. First I have to show you the territory. Follow me." Whispertide bounded ahead with Yarrowpaw right behind.

After the tour, Whispertide turned to Yarrowpaw. "Ok, now that you know our territory, I'll teach you the hunting basics. For mice, crouch down low, like this, and make sure your tail is straight and not touching the ground. Place your paws down quietly one after the other until you're close enough to pounce. Here, practice on this leaf." Yarrowpaw did it perfectly. "Awesome job! remember to always stay downwind," Whspertide meowed. "Now let's try fishing in this stream here. Sit back on your haunches and make sure your shadow doesn't fall on the water. When you see a fish, snap your paw out, like this." Whispertide snatched a fish from the water. "Cool!" Yarrowpaw meowed. "You try it," replied Whispertide.

Yarrowpaw turned out to be better at hunting mice, but  caught a few fish. They returned to the camp with lots of fresh-kill.

"We'll start battle training tomorrow. For now we have something else to do: collect moss for Clovertail. This isn't the most fun thing to do but it's one of the necessary tasks of an apprentice. I'll show you where to find the best moss." While they ran into the woods, Whispertide added, "If you find any feathers, bring them too. They make really soft bedding."

They approached a huge tree in the middle of the island. Some of its roots were above ground. They were covered in moss. "Scrape off the moss carefully, with your claws only slightly unsheathed. Collect as much as you can in your mouth, like this, and we'll carry it back to the camp. We'll use some for Clovertail's nest and some for yours and Falconpaw's."

"Falconpaw, come with me to do some battle training." She led the way out to the sandy dunes and told Falconpaw to come at her. Falconpaw lunged at Oceanstar, knocking her off her feet and delivering a quick nip to the hind leg before running to avoid any hits from Oceanstar. "Good job!" She purred. "But can you defend yourself from this?!" She swiped at Falconpaw's head, making her dizzy, and jumped up a tree. Falconpaw became conscious, and looked around for Oceanstar. Oceanstar leaped down from the tree and landed directly on Falconpaw's shoulders. In surprise, Falconpaw jumped up, knocking down Oceanstar. But she was ready for this. She lunged under her belly, claws unsheathed, and batted and kicked with her paws.

Falconpaw yolwed in pain and swiped her paw back at Oceanstar. Before Oceanstar could say whether this was a good or bad move, Falconpaw scrambled up a tree, copying the exact way Oceanstar did it. Then she leapt out and onto Oceanstar. They tumbled down a dune of sand until they came to a panting stop at the bottom.

"Oceanstar, I have a question. Should I organize patrols in the mornings? Even though we don't really have enemy Clans, do you think we should guard our boundaries and mark our territory?"

"Ok" she mewed and scraped up the moss. Then she took it to Clovertail. "Here you go Clovertail. Whispertide and I went to collect moss." Then she spread out the moss for Clovertail's nest. Then she took some to her own and Falconpaw's den.

"Yes Whispertide, you're right about us not having any enemies, but the warrior code says that you must mark your boundaries, and it is the way of our ancestors, who came to this island from the land towards the setting sun." "Falconpaw, wonderful moves!! You are a true tree fighter! Get some prey, and you can take a rest for the rest of the day. You deserve it!"

Whispertide padded over to the apprentice's den and stuck his head in. "C'mon." He nudged Falconpaw and Yarrowpaw. "I'm taking you two on dawn patrol because there aren't really any other warriors." Grumbling, the apprentices slowly got out of their newly made nests and the patrol trudged out of the camp.

After the patrol, Whispertide turned to Yarrowpaw. "I smell rain coming, but I think we can squeeze in some battle training before it does. Race you to the sand dune!"

"Falconpaw, come with me to practice battle moves with Whispertide and Yarrowpaw." She and Falconpaw ran towards the sand dunes to catch up with the mentor and apprentice. "Go ahead, Whispertide. You can control this lesson."

sorry, I've been really busy

"Yes!" Falconpaw yowled as they reached the dunes. "Battle-training's my favorite." She leaped onto Whispertide. "Good," he meowed, after he had regained his balance and thrown her off. "Now, since you're small, roll under your enemy and kick their tummy with your hind legs." Falconpaw went to try the move on Oceanstar. Whispertide turned to Yarrowpaw. "Ok, now you try that move on me," he meowed.

After the apprentices mastered this, Whispertide made the move harder."First, pounce onto the shoulders so that you have the element of surprise. Then slide under and start kicking.

Falconpaw, with a sneaky look in her eye. began to creep up on Oceanstar, who was looking the other way. Falconpaw pounced onto Oceanstar's shoulders, only to be thrown off by the strong leader. They began rolling around in a practice fight, with claws sheathed.

After being outright defeated  by Oceanstar, Falconpaw padded back to Whispertide, who was beckoning with his tail. "Now I want to see you two apprentices battle each other," Whispertide challenged Falconpaw and Yarrowpaw.

Clovertail yawned and stretched. Padding out of her den and into the clearing, she spotted Summerberry sorting herbs. "Do you think it would be safe for me to go out and hunt?" she asked the medicine cat. "I'm getting so restless just sitting around in the camp."

"You're on!" she yowled. Then she pounced onto Falconpaw's shoulders, doing the battle move that that they just learned. But then Falconpaw got back up and pinned Yarrowpaw down. But then Yarrowpaw twisted her neck and sank her teeth into Falconpaws neck but not deep enough to hurt. "HA! I win!" she meowed, bouncing in a circle.
