I'm sorry no one posts on your Clan thread, Summerberry! I know what that's like. I've been here ((as many cats, that is)) for almost 4 entire seasons, so many of my Clans (or their Clans, I suppose) have faded away! It's great that you can mentor Tankit, though! He'll be delighted, I'm sure. Thank you for agreeing to do so!

A poultice of burdock roots, which are fat and black (although I don't recall what the rest of the plant looks like), cures infection when put on a wound, and works especially well for rat bites. Watermint cures bellyache, but I don't know which part is eaten. Oh, wait! I 'remember!' Some part is chewed into a pulp and then devoured, right? And now I 'remember' what burdock plants look like and smell like now!

It's a tall-stemmed, sharp-smelling thistle with dark, wavy leaves, and you have to wash off the dirt before applying it to a wound. Otherwise, the wound could become even more infected instead of curing the infection... *shudders* I'd better remember that in the future...

((The parts I didn't 'remember' until the end were parts I didn't know, but I found in Secrets Of The Clans. You see, I not only own the guidebook, I also sort of, um, study it, and I've memorized the names of the herbs listed and what they cure, but that's about all, and I'd like to know more, so I still read it from time to time. And I take notes when I find important info about the herbs. I suppose that means I'm obsessed, but... *shrugs* Anyway, from now on, when I say 'remember' in quotes, it means I looked in the guidebook for the part I didn't recall at the beginning, which is what I really know.

"You know the right thing," Hawktalong meowed. She nodded slowly and straightened up, her tears gone and her voice strong. "I hereby annouce that an apprentice here should be a warrior, one who would have served their Clan well. Haypaw, from this moment on, you will be known as Hayfur. StarClan honors your intelligence and grace." She took a step back. StarClan cheered softly. "Hayfur, Hayfur, Hayfur!" Autumnstar then awoke to find Hayfur next to her. "Hayfur! Did you see that? You're a warrior now!" she cried. She was overjoyed that Haypaw was alive.

Shakes with excitement as he comes into the hollow. "I can't believe that I'm going to be a full medicine cat!" His lame paw trailed the ground as he limped over, but a strange birthmark was underneath it. A swirl-shaped birthmark was under his lame paw, but the paw was strong. He could attack and dig well with it. Although he was a medicine cat, he was strong with well muscled shoulders that rippled with strength.
