Just reread r-e-r-e-a-d...
Just reread r-e-r-e-a-d this awesomely amazing a-m-a-z-i-n-g book and wondered w-o-n-d-e-r-e-d why I didn't do it sooner s-o-o-n-e-r! Love spelling in general g-e-n-e-r-a-l anyway, here you can also a-l-s-o just talk about the book b-o-o-k!

Dargh! You got me. I'm as startled as can be! The Soundkeeper, are you Darkvine? Or Darkling? Or Forget-Me-Not?
(July 11, 2023 - 7:56 am)
I am not Sine, Jaybells, Darkvine, Darkling, or Forget-me-not.
I'm suprised I actually guessed correctly...those were partly random guesses.
*scrolls through thread*
Oh bother, I think I guessed everybody except Rhyme who hasn't responded to any guesses yet, so I suppose I'll just sit here, guard all of my beautiful sounds, and wonder if anyone will figure out which CBer I am.

Well, I suppose I should make the most of my time *cough cough* and try to keep guessing you. Let's see, could you be...Amethyst, Lyric, or Parody?
(July 11, 2023 - 6:29 pm)
...Oh, you've guessed me...yes, I am Lyric. How did you know? Is it because I double posted?
I guess I'll talk about the book since the SI part is mostly over. I thought it was interesting how King Azaz the Unabridged is/was in disagreement with the Mathemagician (hopefully I spelled that right), since it seems that Math and ELA are opposite and very different from each other. And I also liked all the characters in the book and the wordplay.

I just kind of guessed randomly, and I guess I somehow got it right!
If it were up to me, I would rather be in Dictionopolis than Digitopolis, because I like words/ELA better than numbers/math. Which one would you choose?
(July 12, 2023 - 5:33 pm)
Yeah! That's an interesting thought... I never realized that. And both are needed for survival! Which would you guys pick: math or words? Words for me as a bookworm!! And, in the foreword, Anna Quindlen (the one who did the foreword I think) said that this book is like a modern Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (not Alice in Wonderland like a lot of ppl think! I think that's the movie!), but it was published 1961! At least, I'm pretty sure that's where I saw it, but lots of ppl say that anyhow (like I just looked it up rn to confirm, it's on the reviews). And, YES, all the wordplay is so clever and fabulous, I love it!! I'm actually making up a Phantom Tollbooth musical right now! With songs and music and script and everything! But mostly songs and music since that's funner (I think that's a word?). NO. WAY. Guys. I just looked up Phantom Tollbooth and also when you press preview of the book, it doesn't give you the book, but an adaptation of it for a play?? So, Ig my idea wasn't so original after all. But I'm doing a musical so... wait, do they already have one? Oh, it already is. But I'll continue on anyway! Has anyone watched it. And, GUYS, it's a MOVIE too?!? That's it, I'm watching it! But the book'll prob still be WAY better.

Hmm, I'd also like to be in Dictionopolis @Moon Wolf and Celine because I communicate most easily through words instead of numbers, so it has more appeal to me than Digitopolis. Although I like the Valley of Sound a lot too.
@Celine, you're making a Phantom Tollbooth musical??? That's really cool! I tried to make a Frozen II musical right after the movie came out, but I never finished it. I forgot that there was a Phantom Tollbooth movie, but I agree with you that the book is probably better (that's generally how it is with books made into movies, at least in my opinion).
(July 13, 2023 - 3:43 pm)
No way! The Phantom Tollbooth has a movie adaptation? Why didn't the world tell me sooner?!
Ahem.
The fact that I had to reread the book twice before I finally realized that... 'The Everpresent Wordsnatcher spends nearly all of his time out of Context'... is a pun...
Ahhhh where is my humor when I need it-
(July 14, 2023 - 7:41 am)
No. Way.

Why is he called Azaz the Unabridged?
(August 7, 2023 - 3:50 pm)
At least... I THINK that's what he was called... is it because they use so many words without the Which there to stop them? So he's not abridged? So unabridged??
(August 7, 2023 - 3:53 pm)
So the name Azaz the unabridged apparently means the complete alphabet from A to Z. Unabridged means complete, apparently.
(August 10, 2023 - 10:00 am)
Ohh, that makes sense!
