Hey everyone! <3 I know this isn't a very active realm of the CB, but I had a really cool idea. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a book club on the CB! I joined a book club in March, and it's been awesome! I realised that book clubs are super fun when you don't have to do a bunch of school assignment around it and read something like Johnny Tremain or Lord of the Flies. Nothing against classic literature, but my brain can only take so much of the Bard's work.
Anyway, for our book club we could choose what books we want to read, set reading deadlines, and discuss the book on the CB! We could also do small writing challenges and stuff, but I don't want it to be like school. I've been trying to read more during quarintine, and I hope other people are too!
If you are interested in joining, please fill out this sheet. There's no limit, but I hope we can get at least 4 or 5 people. :D

I have a suggestion. I think we should read it in parts. We could read the first, say, four or five chapters, then discuss what has happened and what we think will happen next. We can set reading deadlines for each section if you want, but it might be difficult if not everyone is able to obtain the book.

I agree! 4 or 5 chapters sounds good! Maybe like 1 week or more? What does everyone think?

@Fidelity and @Majestic Mary, I think these are great ideas, since some people already have the book and others have it on hold.

I like the 4 or gauge chapters a week idea. How about we read the first five chapters by next Wednesday? That will allow some people to get the book still. Feel free to read ahead, but don't spoil!

@Fidelity, I'm afraid I don't have the book yet. I can read the sample, but it only goes to Chapter 4.
Is it okay if I join at the next book or later in the book, and also do you have any ideas on what the next book will be? (So I can possibly put it on hold and not be 5 weeks late again)

This sounds fun! I can't get this book because I'm like third in line to get it from the library, and I can't afford it from Amazon. So I'll either join when I get it from the library or a new book comes along.
