Chatterbox: Blab About Books

List of Books I Really Enjoyed (In Three Parts)
This will be...

This will be in three parts, because there almost 60 books in it. (Currently. I add to it from time to time.) Please also understand that these are NOT in any particular order. I do not like them from first to last, for example. (Please do not attack me for liking Eragon, either!:) Here is the first installment:

1. Eragon, by Christopher Paolini

2. Eldest, by Christopher Paolini

3. Brisingr, by Christopher Paolini

4. Shadow Spinner, by Susan Fletcher

5. Becoming Naomi Leon, by Pam Munoz Ryan

6. Esperanza Rising, by Pam Munoz Ryan

7. Blue Jasmine, by Kashmira Sheth

8. The Tower of Geburah, by John White

9. The Iron Scepter, by John White

10. The Sword Bearer, by John White

11. Gaal the Conqueror, by John White (May be more easily found in Canada)

12. Homesick: My Own Story, by Jean Fritz

13. Ella Enchanted, by Gail Carson Levine

14. Fairest, by Gail Carson Levine

15. The House With a Clock in it's Walls, by John Bellairs

ADMIN, could you take the stuff at the bottom off? I didn't copy and paste, so I don't know why it's there.

Oh, and sorry, the "May be more easily found in Canada" goes for all of the John White books, not just that one.

Paolini's books... yes. Won't say anything.

I've never heard of four, or seven through eleven. Which were the best of them, would you say?

Becoming Naomi Leon and Esperanza Rising by Pam Munoz Ryan did not appeal to me, because I'm, well, just not into those... all culture appreciation coming-of-age etc. stories, and I'm not a PMR fan, but they seemed fairly well written.

Homesick: My Own Story was pretty good. Certainly fairly decent writing.

Ella Enchanted and Fairest were of course amazing, as is most of GCL's work.

The House With a Clock in Its Walls... I really should reread that. I didn't appreciate it when I was eight, but it was a good book.

Wrinkle in Time, I should reread that too. It was an excellent book. Went over my head back in second grade, though... :/

Good list, for the most part. :)

I've never heard of 7-11 either, but I own 4, and it's really good. It's... kind of based on Tales of the One Thousand One Nights. It's really good.

Don't worry, I love the Eragon books too! I can't wait for the - oops, sorry. This isn't an Eragon discussion thread, and I don't want to turn it into 1, since they all seem to turn into debates nowadays, and I don't think it's worth debating about.

Anyway, I have read a lot of the books that are so far on the list. Let's see... I've read 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 13, 14, 16, and 17! I think they're all great! Well, I didn't love 13 and 14, but I liked them anyway!

Randomness: Does anyone else find themselves obsessed with the organization of their books? Mine are on a bookshelf in alphabetical order by author's last name! And yet people still say I'm disorganized! If this is trolling, by the way, you can ignore it.

I love the Eragon series (I'm on Brisingr) I can't wait til' the fourth one comes out! (Um when does it come out anyway?)

I think it comes out sometime in 2010, but I'm not sure. By Luna Lover, do you mean Luna Lovegood? Did you know that at the open audition for the part of Luna, 1,500 girls came?!?

Ima, I organize my books, too! Except mine are in alphabetical order by the title, ignoring any A's or The's.

What I meant by Luna Lover is that I love Luna Lovegood. No, I did not know that 1,500 girls tried out for the part of Luna Lovegood! I think that Evanna Lynch first tried out for Katie Bell or Angelina Johnsen (but I'm not completely sure). Who is your favorite character in Harry Potter? Tonks is my favorite girl adult character, and Remus Lupin is my favorite boy adult character.

Bye everybuggy!

I'm very disorganized. Half the time my books are not even on shelves. =] Sorry.

I've read 29, 30, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, and 40. And I'm about to read The Great Good Thing (and the other two books in that series). Are they good? I was a mite doubtful.

Inkheart's great! The other 2 books are even better!

I've read fewer on this list than the other. Only 27, 30, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, and 39. They're really good, though! (Well, I stopped liking LM Montgomery's books after a few months of obsession, but...)
