“A River.” I say. The door swung open letting me in. I perch at the end of the bed a big pile of books on my lap and begin to read. I must have read for a hour or so, because when I look up all the other lights are out. I give myself a lecture under my breath. I’m never going to make friends if I keep doing this. I think. I fall asleep, still perched at the end of the bed...

srry this is so short.... 

The next morning I wake up happily, having slept well. SopranoTwo and our roommates head down together to the common room, where we find a crowd of Ravenclaws going to breakfast. We join the crowd and quickly find ourselves in the dining hall. Food appears on the tables shortly afterwards, and we dig in.

I check my schedule and see that we have Transfiguration and the Defense Against the Dark Arts. The Ravenclaw first years stick together as we navigate the school and manage to make it to Transfiguration just as the bell rings.

"Welcome to Transfiguration, first years! This is going to be one of your most difficult classes, and you will have to study hard in order to succeed. I am Prodessor Granger, and I require attention at all times," says Professor Granger. She looks as if she isn't too strict but likes to pretend she is.

The class goes well as we learn to turn a toothpick to a needle. Many of us get the toothpick shiny, but I am one of the few that get a workable needle. Before I know it, class is over, and I find myself wishing for it to go on longer. You have plenty of other great classes, don't focus just on this one, I scold myself.
