Hello, everyone!

Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Book Recommendations Please!
Hello, everyone! ...

Hello, everyone!

I'm looking for some good summer reading! I recently went to the library and checked out four books: See You at Harry's, The Green Glass Sea, Chains, and Green Rider. Has anyone read any of these? If so, share your thoughts! No spoilers, please! When I'm through with these, I'll go back and hopefully get some of your suggestions. For the suggestions, I like practically every genre. From high fantasty to non-fiction! Don't feel the need to just recommend YA books; I still read Children's, too! I'll really read anything that looks good. And finally, please try to recommend books that are less common. No need to mention Harry Potter or Percy Jackson! I've already read them :)

Happy summer!

Thanks, Crookshanks!

I've heard that Wonder is very good from many people! I'll put it on my list! I can't wait to read Secretkeepers! I love, love, love MBS! I looked up Greenglass House and it looks wonderful!

Wonder is amazing. I remember it was a really big deal when it came out. It's a very touching book....once again, I should reread that. I've read it like 3 or 4 times already.

Here are my recommendations:

1. The Silmarillion - J.R.R. Tolkien

2. Cinder - Marissa Meyer

3. Seven Wonders Series - Peter Lerangis

4. Throne of Glass - Sarah J. Mass

Have you read any of these? Has anyone here read any of these?

CINDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LUNAR CHRONICLES IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is the order you must read it in:

Cinder

Scarlet

Cress

Winter

Stars Above (this is an anthology of short stories....what makes it so important is that it has the epilogue to Winter at the very end)

Then if you want, you can read Fairest, which is the backstory of one of the villains. Some people reccommend reading it after Cress and before Winter. I personally read it after everything and was fine with that.

YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST READ THIS SERIES.

Cinder is kind of slow at some parts. But you just have to keep going....Cress and Winter are my favorites THEY ARE SO AMAZING OHMYGOSH I LOVE THEM but they're all great MARISSA MEYER IS AWESOME I READ ALL HER WRITING TIPS AND HER BLOG

Rot and Ruin Series

When Dad Killed Mom

A monster calls

Dealing with Dragons

that's it for now

also note the top 3 have some "harsh" words if you know what I mean so doon't yell at me if you find something

good news is that they are pretty lengthy, with Rot and ruin being around 900 pages (I think)

teachers will be pleased

I recently read this awesome book called Kimchi and Calamari by Rose Kent. It's really really good, you should read it.

Also any YA books by Carl Hiassen.

Artemis Fowl. Definitely. These books are AMAZING! The first one can be a bit dull though so a lot of people give up on on them before the story really gets started. It is absolutely amazing though if you stick with it.
