Chatterbox: Blab About Books
The Ultimate CB Book Log
Have you read...
Have you read a book recently?
Enter its name here. This is the 2017 Ultimate CB Book Log. Well, technically starting in 2016, but who cares?
This is a place for us to keep a huge, giant log of books, both for ourselves, and also so other CBers can see what we're reading. Everytime you finish a book--whether you've read it or not--put its name and author here. You don't have to talk about it or anything...you just type in its title. We can discuss books here if you want, but it's not required.
Have fun!
I think this is a great idea, Owlgirl!

I remembered this thread when I read it in the latest Cricket mag. The last post was in April.
I think we should start it up again! Now it's more of a summer reading list.
I'll post all I've read so far this summer.
If you read a book, put it here.

Ooh, it'd be cool if you shared it with us! And you don't have to put it all in one post.

Secretkeepers by Trenton Lee Stewart! *****************! This is so good and everyone should go read it right now! It's by the author of the Mysterious Benedict Society books, but I thought it was way better, which is saying something!

Yay, I'm so glad this is back! My school ended about two weeks ago, so I've read a bunch.
Jonesy Volume 1 (3.5/5 stars)
Jonesy is a really cute comic from Boom Box Comics, an imprint that is completely amazing, with a lot of diversity and witty dialouge. They created the comic Lumberjanes, which I really loved *cough cough* am totally obsessed with *cough cough* and Shannon Watters, who is one of the editors, is so awesome too. Jonesy is about a latina high school age girl name Jonesy who has the power to make people fall in love with anything and anyone (Even a particular incident involving a tattoo of a celebrity crush) -just not herself. If you're looking for a deep, sentimental story about the power of love look elsewhere (Honestly, way way elsewhere), but if you just want an awesome comic about a hyper fangirl with magical powers and her friends, it's really great.
Summer Days and Summer Nights Edited by Stephanie Perkins (4/5 stars)
It's a collection of short stories, and some were better than others. Nina LaCour's story,The End of Love, was completely amazing and I'm going to read more of her stuff now (Same with Lev Grossman!), but I didn't think Love is The Last Resort was all that good and I maaay have skipped Frances Lia Block's story (I kinda hated the way it was set up, and I got annoyed that she didn't name or give much detail to her characters. Maybe you just had to read more to get it.)
I didn't actually think Leigh Bardugo's story was that great, which was kinda disappointing because I loved The Dregs Duology and The Grisha Chronicles. But Inertia, Good Luck and Farewell, A Thousand Ways This Could All Go Wrong and the 4 other ones were super good. All in all, I would recommend it!
Sorry, that was really long.
More to come!
