Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Twilight?
Is there ANYONE...

Is there ANYONE out there who has not read Twilight but is sick to death of it? I haven't but I think that people are goin a little twi-crazy. All the teen book reveiw site are all Twilight saturated.  Does anyone else agree with me? If you do, please tell me. I do NOT want to be the only person in the world who feels this way. Please also feel free to argue with me.

Well, I've read them, and Midnight Sun... but I'm a proud member of TwiSu and a known Anti. And yeah, they've been getting way too much hype. A lot of people here are Antis, actually.

Don't worry! You're not the only one... well at least not the ONLY one on THIS SITE. You can look around for people who would agree with you. (Most people....)

Haha,  Reuben, yes, Tootsie rolls on sticks. I still don't understand that. I'm with a couple girlfriends right now (they're all sort of Twi-crazy). ;)

My friend "Joanna" says: "I like it because Edward is SO hot, I mean right he is real hot."

Oh no, I was afraid she'd say that. *dies* How is a stalker hot?

Somebody else says, "He glows ok. What weirdo likes him and he only is a vegetarian."

Yeah, sorry if I'm a litttle garbled right now... it's like, 10:30 and I haven't been to a slumber party since November... so yes. Sorry. Sort of going crazy with all the cell phones and makeup around me... so I needed some intelligent conversation.

Skewers, actually. And hey, Chatteboxers, we're intelligent conversation now! And what's with Sparklepants's face? He is about 90, after all.

A girl from my Hebrew School likes it, too. She did at least admit that it's badly written, though. ;)

Rabid fan alert! Look, you're allowed to have your opinion about the books. I'm a member of the Twilight Lexicon, and most of the people on there are Twilighters (though very few are rabids). I'm allowed to have my opinion. The people on the Lex were very welcoming, even though I said from the start that I was an anti.

Now, these people on the Lex? I respect them. They're intelligent people, even if they like a series that I don't. They use proper grammar and spelling, and they are accepting of my views. They do rebut some of my views; that's what discussion is for. Many of them know that Twilight is not an example of the "perfect book," and many of them think of Twilight as mind candy, nothing more.

The point being, if you want me to respect your views, kindly refrain from insulting me- I'm not a "Twilight hating fool", I'm an anti who doesn't like a poorly written novel with a boring plot and terrible morals and standards.

You're a member of a lexicon for a book that you hate? I'm glad they're so welcoming, but you've got nerve!

I just... like to discuss more than is good for me, I suppose.
