You'll both need to stay in my den for a while, instead of the nursery, and since Sparrowkit and Boldkit are still suckling, they'll need to come in as well – or I can stay in the nursery with you, if you'd rather do that.

On second thought,  we don't want the healthy kits to catch white or greencough. Maybe we should get another queen to nurse them until you're better, Runningwind. Wait... we don't  have any other queens! Okay... female warriors? There's Stripefur. Stripefur, could you please nurse Sparrowkit and Boldkit while Runningwind is sick? I have plenty of borage leaves that I can give you to produce milk. I'd nurse them myself, but medicine cats aren't supposed to raise kits – although this isn't permanent, only until Runningwind heals, which should only take about 9 days, if we're lucky.

I'm really sorry about this, Runningwind. I'm doing all I can, I promise. I know it must be pretty hard to get greencough and then have 2 of your kits taken away from you temporarily, but it's for their own good. Kits catch illnesses very easilly.

Swankit should should be better in 4-5 sunrises, assuming her whitecough doesn't turn into greencough.  I don't think we can do much to prevent that from happening. She'll have to stay in a different part of the den from you most of the time, but you can see her whenever she needs milk.

Stripefur doesn't seem to be posting. I think she might have deserted the clan. Let's see... Miststar, you've been doing a good job of keeping the kits entertained. However, they need milk, and I said I'd provide it if Stripefur wasn't here.

Therefore: *eats borage leaves* Come here, Sparrowkit. Come here, Boldkit. Oh, you look so thirsty! Here, I'll give you some milk *lets the kits drink her milk until they are full*. Now come back over to Miststar. Sorry, Miststar, but I have to go tend to the sick cats.

Actually, if I'm feeding kits, I might as well feeed Swankit, too. I really don't want her whitecough to turn into greencough. Come here, Swankit. *gives Swankit milk, catmint, juniper leaves, and tansy blossoms* You look almost all better! You just need a little more rest, and I think you'll be completely healed by tomorrow.

Wait... *realizes that only Runningwind, Swankit, and Sparrowkit are there* Where's Boldkit? Did he go and explore camp with a warrior, or... *thinks Silverwind's message to 'watch Boldkit,' , but says nothing*?

Boldkit, don't lie. I know you weren't there before. I'm getting a bit olde, but my eyesight is as good as ever, and Runningwind didn't see you either. Did someone teach you how to  creep quietly? Who? You aren't convincing me...
