//Felicitas' POV//

We froze.

"Who's there?" I whispered.

A tall girl with curly yellow hair stepped out of the shadows. "I'm LeeAnn," she whispered. "Are you guys trying to escape?"

Lillian and I exchanged glances. "Yes," she whispered.

"Can I come?"

"I... I suppose," I said, shrugging. Lillian nodded.

"Let's go."

How am I supposed to post as Wolfbar now, all I-hate-Bellatrix? I can't do that just yet... I feel too sorry for her... *begins getting emotional*

Now my vision is actually blurring... ohmygosh... *hits self*

Sorry, I will do this later. :`( Sorry, I just can't right now!))

//Felicitas' POV//

After nearly an hour of wandering and sneaking through dark passages, the three of us- LeeAnn, Lillian, and I- made it out of the castle. We were at the northern edge of the grounds, and with Lillian in the lead we shambled away from the castle, hopefully towards Hogsmede.

//Belinda's POV//

I awoke the next morning, bleary-eyed, at four-thirty in the morning. Groaning, I rolled out of bed and pulled on my nondescript black robes.

I stumbled out of my bedroom and nearly ran into Bellatrix, who looked wide awake and fresh despite the early hour.

"Oh, good," she said, catching my elbow and half-dragging me down the hall. "You're up."

"Barely," I mumbled.

"You'll get used to it." She dropped me off in the kitchen, in front of a bowl of steaming oatmeal, and vanished out the door. I figured she had gone to get Wolfbar.

The fire roared and turned emerald green. I gaped as Oliver tumbled out of the grate and onto the hard flagstones. Drusilla came next, stepping out with a grace that didn't match up with her bulky build.

"What the bloody...?" I began, weakly. "How did you...?"

"Didn't think we'd let you just run off and have all the fun, did you?" Drusilla asked. Oliver looked skeptical and I guessed that he was just here to impress Dru.

"But how did you find me?" I asked.

"Lucky guess," said Drusilla with a shrug.

"Lucky..." I sighed. "Bellatrix isn't going to be happy."

"Oh so she is alive?" Dru asked. Oliver paled noticeably.

"Indeed she is," Bellatrix said cooly from the doorway. I turned to see Wolfbar doubled over next to her, his ear pinched between her fingers. She raised an eyebrow at me. "Who are they, and why are they here?"

I sighed. "Oliver Zabini and Drusilla Nott. They're my friends, and I suppose they followed me."

Bellatrix looked them both up and down. She released Wolfbar, who toppled to the ground and crawled over to the table, and folded her arms. "Can you duel?"

"Yes," Dru said.

"Defensive spells?"

"Yes, quite well."

"Offensive hexes, jinxes, curses?"

"Yes."

"Patronus?"

"Yes."

"Protective charms?"

"Somewhat."

"Unforgivables?"

Dru hesitated. "No."

"Think you could kill a man?"

"I... I dunno."

Oliver shook his head fervently.

Bellatrix stared at them, and they both squirmed under her cold gaze.

"You," she gestured towards Drusilla, "can come. You, however," and she pointed at Oliver, "can not."

She has friends? Wolfbar thought. And she's letting one of them come?

Bellatrix glared as though she'd heard, and then turned to the boy. Nice to have someone else she can aim her wrath at, Wolfbar thought.

"Meanwhile, you'll be staying here," Bellatrix continued. She waved her wand, and rope appeared around the boy, fastening him tightly to the table. Giving the matter no further thought, she said to Wolfbar, Belinda, and Drusilla, "Hurry up, now, you've got a half hour to eat."

//Oliver's POV//

"What about you?" asked Drusilla, staring at Bellatrix.

Bellatrix stared back, surprised by the question. After a moment she said, slowly, "I don't eat breakfast."

"Or anything else for that matter," muttered Wolfbar. Bellatrix shot him a glare.

"Excuse me," I said quiveringly. "Why am I tied to the table? And why can't I come?"

Bellatrix just raised an eyebrow at me. I glanced over at Belinda, who just shrugged.

My imagination kicked into overdrive. Belinda was a prisoner here. Bellatrix tortured her regularly in some dank basement corridor. She was too terrified to speak up against her former idol. She-

Bellatrix turned to stare at me, looking torn between shock and amusement.

"What?" I demanded.

She just snorted with laughter and turned away. "Interesting friend you've got there, Belinda," she said dryly.

Belinda glanced up from her plate questioningly. "What?"

"Tell me," the Death Eater said, snatching up an apple from the counter. "Has he always had such a... poor opinion of me?"

"'Fraid so," Dru said, eyeing Belinda's eggs. Belinda, noticing, twitched the plate over in her direction.

"Legillimency, dear," Bellatrix said dryly, noting my confusion. "Hungry?"

"Wha- yes, I suppose so," I said. "But aren't I your prisoner?"

"Of course," she replied matter-of-factly, and handed me a plate of eggs."But why on earth would I want you to starve to death?"

At this, the black-haired guy who she had dragged into the kitchen with her let out a furious cry and stood up.

"Yes?" asked Bellatrix sweetly.

"He- he- this-" he seemed unable to speak for rage.

Bellatrix caught Belinda's eye and grinned, then turned back to the spluttering man. "Again with the stuttering. Really, Wolfbar, I would have thought you'd be over that by now."

He let out a cry of frustration and stormed out of the room.

Wolfbar was feeling that now familiar sensation of wanting to jinx Bellatrix into a slug. He tried to control his temper- he knew she was just messing with him, purposely trying to overwhelm him- but that didn't make it any less frustrating. And he knew she was probably tiring of his dramatic storming-out-rooms routine.

He kicked the wall a few times, took five minutes to compose himself by imagining how Bellatrix would look with a pair of elk's horns, and then walked back into the room. The boy stared at him, bug-eyed.

Well, Wolfbar thought, it's nice to be able to stare condescendingly at someone again. He glared threateningly at the adolescent.

"This is customary behaviour for him," Bellatrix explained casually, shining her apple on the sleeve of her robe but not taking a bite. "He reads too many cheap romance novels set in a soap opera format."

Wolfbar groaned and gritted his teeth. Bellatrix, losing interest in his unoriginal displays of anger, turned to Belinda and Drusilla. "Have you got everythig you need?"

While Drusilla looked bewildered, Belinda nodded. "Everything you told me to bring."

"Good." Bellatrix turned back to Wolfbar. "And... you're ready as well?"

It was hard to resist sarcasm. "Yes, I'm ready as well."

Drusilla opened her mouth, presumptively to ask what in the world was going on, while simultaneously Oliver opened his, probably to query the same, but Bellatrix beat them both to it. "You all know how to Apparate, I assume?" She cocked her head at Wolfbar and added, "Of course, we're all aware of your proficiency in the area."

Wolfbar reddened and the two girls nodded ((they're old enough, right?)), their faces drawn with tense excitement and worry. "Marvelous, then," Bellatrix said briskly. "Let's go outside, where we can depart without being hampered by my protective enchantments."

((Can we kill Drusilla in the garden? (Don't take this the wrong way.) There're too many teenagers running around.))

((All right, Side-Along... how old are they, anyway?

Mindless zombie... okay... I suppose that's slightly more original... and why would she be turned into a mindless zombie? Dementors' Kiss or something else...?

By the way, @ anyone who remembers, is Hetchaforte (the name given to the thing the Dementors spawned off of) back at the Garden or still wandering around the Hogwarts landscape? I would guess he'd have to have gone back, because Dumbledore or somebody like that bound him there and that's where his power is strongest... right?))

((Okay. Would you like to continue? And are there any Hogwarts posters left? I love the bad guys and all, but no one's posting from school or wherever they're running away to. Hogsmeade or something.))

The two other girls & I made our way to Hogsmeade slowly - at least that's what it felt like. Why is Hogwarts so weird? I wondered. Because it's a wizard school, I answered mentally. But you're not at Hogwarts, remember, you're escaping. I tried to push the voice in my head (that had bothered me all my life) away, but it just gave me the usual reply: You can't do that. But I forgot all about the voice as we got closer to Hogsmeade.

((Very well, then, they're Apparating to the garden.))

The group walked out of the manor, Oliver still tied up inside. As though as an afterthought, Bellatrix turned around, waved her wand lazily, and released him from his bonds. "We may be gone awhile, so for your convenience there's some food in the cupboards. Protective enchantments are placed around my study, my bedroom, the exits, and anywhere else I don't want you. Try to escape and I guarantee you'll be very unsuccessful."

Oliver nodded. "Er... thanks very much?"

Bellatrix smirked as though hearing something the others couldn't, and then led them out through the overgrown lawn once again.

Wolfbar breathed in deeply, enjoying his first breath of fresh air in nearly a month. He took in everything that he could, knowing that soon his lungs would be constricted as though being squeezed through pipes, and then he'd be in the Garden with the others, perhaps never to return.

"What's your name, Druelda," Bellatrix said, "come over here and hold on tightly to my right arm. Belinda, take Wolfbar's. You can manage this, I'm sure, boy?" she added.

Drusilla looked none too thrilled at the prospect of gripping the infamous Death Eater's arm, and Wolfbar knew that Bellatrix had stuck Belinda with him purely to annoy him, but both held their tongues. Drusilla grasped Bellatrix's arm, and Wolfbar's felt Belinda's vice-like clutch close on his.

"One..." Bellatrix began, "two... three!"
