((Ever read Shakespeare! BRILLIANT! And yeah, Belinda's essentially Wolfbar only 14, female, and she doesn't call Voldy by his name.))

//Belinda's POV//

"A bit," I replied cooly. "The orphanage had a rather extensive library, and I got bored."

"Orphanage?" Wolfbar repeated.

"My mum's dead, my dad's in Azkaban. Where else would I spend my summers?" I said, slowly. Bellatrix smirked, and flopped into a large, faded armchair. I followed suit at a nod from the Death Eater.

Wolfbar looked furious. He rounded on Bellatrix, and shouted, "I don't get it! I told you where V- the Dark Lord is, I agreed to help you- not that I had any choice- but you still hate me? And this- this... *girl* shows up, and suddenly you're best friends?!"

Bellatrix smiled evilly. "I wouldn't put it *quite* like that, but yes, I suppose so. You see, she isn't an arrogant, loose-tongued fool like you are."

"She can't be more than fifteen!" he yelped.

"Fourteen, actually," I said mildly, though I was pleased that I appeared older than I was.

Bellatrix shrugged. "Age is inconsequential."

"She can't possibly know any Dark magic!" he said, again, a desperate note creeping into his voice.

"Well," I said, "That's true. But I'm a quick learner..." I trailed off and looked at Bellatrix.

"There," she said mildly. "You see? She's willing to learn... as opposed to you- you think you know everything already." Then, glancing at me once more, she added, "We can start this afternoon, if you want."

"All right," I said. "Any chance of lunch first though?"

Wolfbar sputtered. This was unreal! This teenager just strutted into the Lestrange manor, made him look like an idiot, and then demanded *lunch*! How was Bellatrix Lestrange possibly tolerating this?

All right, he thought. Whatever's going on here is just baffling, and I need have no part in it. Bellatrix is obviously using me for some reason... she must have a plan- which is more, I admit, than I do. Therefore, I'll stick around here a bit longer, gain a better understanding of the landscape, and figure out what Bellatrix's up to. Then I will leave... I will ressurrect Vol- er, the Dark Lord, and I will be the one he rewards!

((Ha, I can't wait to read TNO's (umlaut) post-Voldy-resurrection posts... it'll be funny to see how Bellatrix reacts to him. And how Wolfbar reacts to that...))

((Oh, yes. I'm going to have lots of fun with the Bella/Voldy/Wolfbar/Belinda interactions. Also, for clarification, we're keeping the Bella x Voldy stuff completely one sided, right?))

"Of course," said Bellatrix, unable to suppress a smirk at Wolfbar's squeak of indignation. Honestly, it was worth having the girl around just to annoy him. She rose, and gestured for Belinda to follow as she left the room. Wolfbar, after a moment of deliberation, followed. He was hungry, after all.

"So," Bellatrix said, once they had sat down around a small, old table, Belinda and Wolfbar with sandwiches, the Death Eater with an apple. "How is Hogwarts these days?"

"Mostly the same, I suppose, except that any mention of the Dark Arts is banned. Also the headmaster is kind of paranoid," Belinda replied.

"Hence, the full lockdown because of a rumor?" Bellatrix asked with a grin. "Admittedly a true rumor, though I certainly wasn't planning on mounting a full-scale attack on Hogwarts. That comes after we resurrect the Dark Lord."

"What?" asked Belinda, looking up sharply from her sandwich. "Is that even possible?"

"Normally, no. But the Dark Lord is... was... Well, a special case."

Wolfbar perked up suddenly.

"I thought all the Horcruxes..." Belinda lowered her voice. "I thought they were all destroyed?"

"All the ones that Potter knew about. There's one that not even Dumbledore knew of, and that one still exists."

"Oh." Belinda chewed for a moment, thoughtfully. "So you're going to bring him back?"

"Mm..." Bellatrix stared at her apple, the tiniest of frowns on her face. "Incidentally, can you summon a Patronus?"

"Sort of," Belinda replied. "I can summon a Patronus when there's nothing to summon a Patronus again... But when there's a Dementor, or even a bogart pretending to be a Dementor, the best I can manage is a vague silver haze. Why?"

"The Dark Lord and his remains are kept in the Garden of Y'Galle, where the creature that spawned the Dementors resides. A Patronus would provide some protection against it while Wolfbar goes for the remains..."

"Couldn't you summon one?" asked Belinda nervously.

Bellatrix shook her head. "Can't."

"Couldn't you learn?" cut in Wolfbar nastily.

Bellatrix shot him a disdainful glance. "When you murder someone, you tear your soul in two. A broken soul is incapable of summoning a Patronus, no matter how happy the memory is." She turned back to Belinda. "There's a bogart living in a wardrobe upstairs. We'll start with that once you finish."

((Yes, Bella x Voldy one-sided.))

Wolfbar could have thrown up his hands in frustraton (but didn't want them hexed off of his wrists, so refrained from doing so). So the fourteen-year-old gets to learn how to summon a Patronus, while he had to read SHAKESPEARE! The high-schooler got to request- no, demand- lunch whereas he went hungry for days! The little dope of a girl was on friendly terms with the murderous Death Eater, whereas he, surely at least her equal, was treated like gum on the bottom of a brand-new sneaker!

She has to have some weakness, Wolfbar thought. Some vulnerability that I could use against her without endangering myself. He thought back to all that he'd ever read about Vo- the Dark Lord's- most devout follower, from the chintzy romance dime store novels to the vast and dusty nonfiction history tomes. She could be a bit haughty, yes, perhaps even arrogant, but how would that help?

No, all that Wolfbar could think of was Vol- the Dark Lord, he had to get used to that- the Dark Lord himself. She was, like any halfway sensible person, at least mildly terrified of him, but, if Wolfbar's research was accurate, also had true affection for him. He tried not to snicker, imagining Bellatrix with even vaguely human emotions.

Bellatrix turned to him. "What's so funny over there?"

Wolfbar went on the defensive. "Nothing."

"Which explains why you're laughing."

"Er..." She'd stumped him again.

Bellatrix stared at him suspiciously. "I don't know what you're planning, but I would drop any ideas of treason or escape that you might have right now."

Wolfbar had to try hard to keep from rolling his eyes- she as obviously merely making assumptions, trying to scare him and/or impress Belinda, who was watching with feverish interest. She knew nothing.

What he overlooked- as the young man had a tendency to do- was that Bellatrix was an accomplished Occlemense/Legitimist.

((That spelling was incorrect, I'm guessing, but you get what I mean?))

((D'aww, ok. That's what we've been working up to, anyway. And it's Occlumens and Legillimens, FYI.))

Relieved that the dementor was gone, I walked to the Ravenclaw common room. When I entered, a girl whom I had never spoken to ran up & hugged me. "W-What ,'' I sputtered. Then she started saying that Bellatrix was alive & that Harry Potter was here. No way, I thought, sitting down. Now, reasearch time.

All of a sudden, I was gripped by a stunning, immobilizing fear that made my eyes roll in my head.

"Out," something croaked, "out."

I went out. The common room door swung softly behind me as I dashed about, anything to rid myself of that voice.

I turned a corner, and found myself face to face with a black-cloaked being that sucked the light out of my eyes.

A teacher's POV

I found the body as I was rushing to a conference to find a solution to our *predicament*. A little girl, first year by the looks of her. A sign, that shimmered in the air above in green, read, she will not be the last. I called out, for anybody, to come help.

"Oh! Is that. . .Keira Greene?" said Nearly Headless Nick.

"It was," I said grimly. "It was."

((Aah, creepy!

Okay, I can't post until TNO (umlaut...) replies as either Bellatrix or Belinda. (By the way, TNO- umlaut- your "d-aww" would imply that you're upset that Wolfbar is leaving- :)- I would not worry, they'll meet again (or, more likely, since Bellatrix is using Oclumency- or the "l" one- his plan might not even work). Or maybe I'm wrongly interpreting your post... Internet is so confusing to talk on. :/

Anyway, I have been having a not-so-great day and I desperately need to post as a villain- even a pompous, inexperienced, overly-ambitious, practically-destined-to-fail, Voldy-diehard-fan villain. *deep breath*))

((Right. Here we go.))

//Felicitas' POV//

I gulped. "Now?"

"We need to get moving before the security tightens even more..." Lillian said.

"Ok..." I replied. I hoped she knew what she was doing.

"Come on..." I followed her down the corridor and into a secret passage.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"Hogsmede, I hope. It's a wizarding village."

"Will we be able to get away?"

"I don't know. I hope so."

((Guh, short, sorry, but I can't think of anything better.))

((Thanks!))

Sneaking out of Hogwarts proved to be more difficult than it looked. We were nearly caught almost every time we looked around, but I blindly stumbled on, pretending that I knew where I was going when I really had no clue.

"Um... Lillian?" Felicitas asked. "How do we get to Hogsmeade?"

"I... we should ask a third year, prob'ly," I muttered. "I've never been."

   "You've never been?"

   "No."

As we rounded a corner, we saw two Slytherin fifth-years whispering together, looking up every few moments to see if anyone was listening. They were Belinda's friends... but where was Belinda?

"Over here," I told Felicitas. "I don't want them to see us."

As we hid in the corner we had just rounded, I caught a line from the conversation: '...I think she's gone to join Bellatrix.'

Goosebumps ran up and down my spine.

Bellatrix glared at Wolfbar a moment longer, then turned back to Belinda. "Ready?"

"As I'll ever be," replied Belinda.

"We'll have to make do without any chocolate for the moment, I'm afraid," Bellatrix said as they left the kitchen. "I can't stand the stuff."

Wolfbar stared after them, his blood boiling.
