The tribe of shadow forest is looking for cavern-guards and prey hunters. We also need to-bes and would like elders. Please join.

Sometimes this whole tribe thing is a bit confusing, so how about we make a little chart to determine everyone's positions and ranks. Let's see... it should be something like this:
Leader: Treesayer. The leader (I think) does the jobs that both a leader and medicine cat would do in a clan.
So far, it seems like there is no kind of second-in-command, but I'm not sure what a clan would do if a leader died, so there would have to be some sort of one. Maybe the leader trains a to-be. The to-be would learn the skills of a leader, and fill in for the leader when their gone, but remain a to-be until the leader's death, when the leader-to-be becomes leader. Dove says she is trained in medicine and healing along with fighting. Those sound like the skills of a to-be leader. If Treesayer lets her join (which he probably will, but it's his descision), she could be his to-be. If that's all right with them.
Caveguards: Fern In Swaying Breeze. I am her to-be. The cave-guards gaurd caves from danger.
Patrollers: None. We badly need Patrollers. They're supposed to travel to our borders on 'patrols' to see what's going on.
Prey hunters: Mist Over Shining Water. Pebble In Small Stream is her (his?) to-be. Prey hunters hunt for the tribe's food.
Leaf That Whispers In The Breeze is only olde enough to be a to-be, and I don't see any adult cats that aren't teaching someone already... I'm really not sure how you could join, even if Treesayer lets you. Sorry. I suppose you can always wait until a new adult joins (or a to-be graduates), but that could take a while. If you have any better ideas, feel free to suggest them.
Ivy on Birch Tree, I'm sorry to say that the same would have to go for you. Even if you joined, however, you couldn't hunt and gaurd, you would have to choose 1 or the other. If you want to do both, you'd have to join a clan. Maybe you should.

Ivy: I realize that there isn't a teacher open, but, if you were listening, I have trained myself. That means, since I am older than my sister, I should be an adult. If it is alright with Treesayer, I will be a Prey-hunter. I could also train Leaf to be a hunter, alwell.*siles* Is that all right with you?

Fern in swaying breeze: sure, oak. try this one. *pounces onto nearby boulder and then pounces on oak* oh yeah, fantastic job on the other two! this one is called "Jump High, Pounce Low" (for all of you who have read peak, thats where i got it!).

Sorry Ivy. I thought that by trained, you meant that you were trained a bit by someone else as a - *thinks of tribe term for kit* - kien to hunt and guard, and that you still had things to learn. I guess I was confused with so many to-be-wannabes asking to join. (no offense to to-be-wannabes, as I was one myself, before I became a full to-be).

Um, I'm not sure, but I'd figured that maybe there were certain cats that patrolled, while the caveguards stayed and guarded the camp? Then again, we don't have any patrollers, so even if it is like that, someone does need to do a patrol of some kind. Let's go on a border patrol, then. *they go to the border between Night Clan and what used to be empty territory* Someone's started a new clan/tribe here! What should we do? Should we ask one of the cats about it?
((As far as I know, the only new clan/tribe is BlazeClan. We could go there, read the post (which I've already done, but I don't know whether you have), and decide what to do. Then at least I'd have a good reason for posting as Oak Where Birds nest *grins guiltily, because she's already posted there as Oak*. Or, if you want, we can just have it be some new pretend clan/tribe that doesn't really exist. Or we could just ignore my post entirely. You're the teacher (I guess that's what tribe cats will call mentors), so you decide.
