Katerina Dree Mayannah limped one more weary step and stopped, holding her left back hoof above the ground. Her tail and head-hair were tangled and, when she shook her head or flicked her tail, released fine white sand in a rain. ((I forgot to tell you: Katty's particular race, the Mayannahs, come from the desert, even though I doubt normal horses would do incredibly well there.)) Her ribs were painfully visible, and her whole being exuded an air of deep sadness. Her head sagged tiredly as she stood in the field far from anything she knew or called home ((sorry, a little depressing, but I'm tired)). Suddenly her head snapped up. She smelled something she had learned to become very wary of in recent months. She smelled wolves, and many of them. She tensed, painfully setting her hoof down and evening her weight on all four. She would not be caught off guard again. The claw and tooth marks on her left hind leg began to bleed again as she put weight on it, but for the moment she ignored it. A howl sounded to her left, quite near. Somehow wolves always knew which side was weaker. another howl answered, on her right--no, two. They could not be seen yet. More howls answered the first, until it was clear that Katerina was completely surrounded. If she had not been so preoccupied with imminent death, she might have realized that there was a large building quite near ((what does it look like, Jenni?)) and that there was a girl who, hearing the howls, was running inhumanly quickly from it to the field, and that there was a large winged shape in the sky. But for the moment Katty only noticed the yellow eyes coming towards her, and the empty quiver slung across her human back

And to think I escaped the Camelspit just to die at the claws of these beasts, she thought. ((All right, Jenni, save me from my terrible fate? :):) I don't think your wolves would actually hurt Katty. She's just a little high-strung right now. :):):) ))

((Ah, of course. You would be from beyond the Blight in the Wheel of Time settings.))

Sheyari jogs towards the inn, singing to herself "The Wolf Girl, golden eyes, amber flute, she comes in a swirl, of wind sighs, owl hoots.", the first verse  of the popular song, "The Wolf Girl", which she considered pure nonsense. Weak prey! Come, Silver Fangs!, the wolves called, jerking her from her reverie. What?, she said to them, turning around quickly. She gasped. No, Sky Water, Bird Foot, Deer Path, Air Runner, River Walker, it's a centaur! Don't kill it!, she told them in her mind, using all their names to make an impression on them. She ran towards the centaur, curious. So, Father was right. The Age of Legends has come again!, she thought surprisedly. The centaur stared at her and her wolf-eyes. "Don't worry, we mean you no harm, Mistress Centaur. My name is Sheyari Aybara, and I am the youngest daughter of Lord and Lady Aybara. And now, if you don't mind me asking, what is your name, Mistress Centaur?", she said cautiously, with the wolves gathered around her. The centaur looked wary, but spoke nonetheless. "I am Katerina Dree Mayannah of the Mayannah tribe of centaurs. And, pray, why are your eyes yellow? I have traveled through many lands, Illian, Tear, Cairhien, Caemlyn, and I have seen Seanchan, Aeil, and I have met Aes Sedai, but nowhere in my travels have I seen the likes of the two of you, with your golden eyes."  Sheyari looked at Perrin, and when he nodded, just barely enough that her eyes could notice it, she replied, "We are wolves in spirit, yet humans in body. There are only three of us as far as we know, and we can talk to the wolves as the wolves talk, telepathically. You may have heard of me, as the gleemen have songs of "The Wolf Girl", or "The Wolf Princess"? Sheyari explained. Katerina looked confused, then accepted the explanation. "But, if you are going to stay here for any amount of time, then we'll have to do something about the way you look.", Sheyari added. Katerina shied away from her. "I am quite an expert at shape-shifting, and I think I can see a way to alter the weaves to apply them to another being. May I?", added Sheyari. "Of course, your weapons would be untouched. I would just change your horse part into the rest of you human body.", she added once more, trying to persuade Katerina.

((hehehehe. And Holly, Domani is a country, and the people of the country. Domani women and girls are usually beautiful and flirty. Just so you can decide whether your Dometri Tower is Domani or not.))

((Ok, I have decided with Domani Tower,  it's filled with magical, pretty, flirtatioous women. Melody is the youngest.))

Melody ran and ran until she realized, 'I'll charm him away'. She turned around, got a small vial from her purse, and open it. She stuck her pinkie in and rubbed a stroke on her neck. All of the males in the marketplace they had run into turned there heads. She walked to the man and said in her most flirtatious voice, "Would you please go back to your daughter ,sir? Could you take me there to?" He nodded rapidily. He took her under his arm like an old friend and walked back with her. "Thank you, sir," she said. She wiped the perfume off. He snapped back into his real self. She smiled. She turned the corner first and saw the wolf girl and the griffin and a hippogriff(i think?). The wolf girl shreaked, "What did you do to my father?!" She replied, "Nothing," and smiled again.

((Heh. Holly, WoT doesn't allow that kinda stuff.))

Sheyari glared suspiciously at that girl-Domani by the looks of the way her dress was cut- and Delved her father carefully, checking to make sure he was all right. Perrin waved her off irritably, but not before she could learn what the girl had used on him. "I won't let you get away with that, not here in Manetheren. Don't you know your history lessons?", she snapped at the girl. "Manetheren deserves your respect, you little Domani hussy!" Her voice impounded venom and hate into the word "Domani", and she glared at the other girl. "Perfume! Hah!", she added to add salt to the wound. The girl leapt back as if stung. "What-how?", she stammered, her eyes going round. Sheyari snorted. "The wolves told me. And, most of all, you should leave my father alone. He is The King of Manetheren and the Lord of The Two Rivers. He is married to Faile daughter of Doman Bashere, and Berelain ruler of Mayene. He walks with the wolves as I do, which no others exept for for his mentor Elyas the Brave-Hearted can do. We protect the land, and our sheep flourish happily, knowing that the wolves will defend them instead of attacking them. Your petty tricks are nought but annoyances here. Our men can resist them, with all their will, untill your pockets are drained of perfumes and powders and your other tricks," Sheyari proclaimed proudly, her voice twisting the word 'tricks' untill it seemed a vile curse word. "And now, who are you?," she asked. The other girl stepped up proudly. "I am Melody Tune of the Domani Tower.," she proclaimed loudly. Sheyari stifled a laugh. "Like anyone here bloody even cares. You could go to Shadar Logoth and back without a single man noticing it. Light, you could even go to the Borderlands for all it would matter!", she said venemously. I've always hated Domani women, and I'm not about to start likeing them now, no matter what she does. Sky Water, tell the others that they can tease her, but they can't hurt her unless Lord Perrin says so, she thought bitterly. Sky Water wolf-laughed and galloped away. Good. Sheyari turned her attention back to the girl. She still hasn't gotten my un-welcome message, has she? and stared at her. She hurriedly stuffed a bottle of powders back into her bag. "Manetheren? Light!", she exlaimed. "I'd heard you had claimed it, but I never thought you would be so bold as to say it, here, among all these puny little farm houses!" she continued, injecting venom into her own voice. "You may be able to channel, but so can I, and it doesn't give you any advantage. I can see your weaves and anticipate your moves, just as your wolves can tell you what I use on the men." she turned and stalked off. Sheyari sighed. More Domanis to worry about? Light!

((Yah, she doesn't have all that good language, but it's only when she's angry, like she is at Melody.))

Melody sighed as she stalked off. 'Ug, another prejudice person. He was chasing after me! I mean, if your gonna chase after me, it's obvious what I'll do!' she said to the cats. They comferted her. Morgan said, 'Why not just follow them and see what their up to? I mean the prtal isn't coming back for two days!' She thought about it. 'OK, but fetch me some money from in her. They native stuff.' She opened the bag and a paw came out holding some. 'Thanks!' she said. She bought some food and native clothes, and stuffed her own clothes in the bag as she picked off some bread and cheese for herself and gave them some. She sprinkled some powder on them. 'There,' she mind-said, 'now it will stay fresh and regrow the broken off pieces as well.' She stuffed it in the bag and pulled out a cloak, and put it on. 'Let's go,' she said quietly. 'I'll show them who's a hussy.'

I screamed. Then I backed away from the gap in the trees. I run away from my non-magic family to be a qualified witch one day & the next I see a pack of wolves, a centaur, a wolf-girl, & a griffin. Still backing away, I bumped into somone else.

((fine with me.)) ((gah yourself)) ((why did you say 'gah' anyway))

A tall man with broad shoulders, brown hair, and yellow eyes came out of the mansion, and Sarina thought he jumped when he saw her. She smelled the air. Wolf human also, and probably her father, she thought. "What kind of smell is that, and what is that animal doing here!!?" the man asked.  "Wait, that's a GRIFFIN! The Age of Legends is come back!" Sarina stared at him. What's an 'Age of Legends,'  I wonder. Sarina thought. Sheyari groaned. "Next thing there'll be centuars like in Travels of Jain Farstrider? Da, you believe too much in those old legends," she said, laughing. Sarina did not like being called an animal. Griffins were highly intelligent, not like rabbits, or some other animal. "I'm not an animal!!! And, if you want to know, my name is Sarina." Sarina nearly screamed. The man looked interested. "They can speak, eh?" he said, with a thoughtful look on his face. "WELL DUH!!!" Sarina screeched, flapping her wings irratably and making a wind. The man and Sheyari cowered at the noise. "Please, don't be so loud. We can hear you quite well, Sarina, was that what you said your name was?" the man said. Sheyari nods, rubbing her ears ruefully. "Yeah, please keep it down. How about you go rest in that field over
there? I'm afraid we don't have any inside areas that can accomodate
your size. And you can go hunting in the woods over there," she said, pointing towards a meadow and woods. Sarina brightened up at the thought of Something to eat at last!!! and opened her wings and flew to the indicated area. Sarina glanced over her shoulder at the two, and saw them chatting as if she had never been there. She sniffed the air, and to her dissapointment, she didn't smell food. In fact, it was intirely different from food. It was the smell of a centaur, a human, and the ever so faint smell of blood. She sighed and releculantly turned and flew back to where she had just come from. There was a turmoil going on below her. There was an injured centaur, with reddish brown hair, and her human hair reached almost down to her knees. Sarina felt much pitied for the poor centaur. And the human, who obviously was a mind reader, had Sheyari's father chasing her. I wheeled about, nearly in the clouds, taking in all the information. I swooped closer to the ground, and the centaur glanced up and saw me.

Hee hee hee. Who's going to continue now!!!!

Oh and, did I mention, I'm like a female Flury. (Holly, that means I block your mind-reading most of the time.) (P.S. The griffin is bad at directions.)

"Father?" I asked. "Where are you? This is Ima. I miss you!" For months I had been searching the skies for my missing father. I'd lived with him, for as long as I could remember; ever since my mother died. He was a griffin and my mother had been an mare. That's how hippogriffs are born. Anyway, suddenly, I caught the scent of a griffin, like he was. I followed it as quickly as possible. "Father? Is that you?" I asked.

"Who are you calling father?" asked a voice - a female one. "My name is Sarina, and I'm NOT your dad! Oh, and are you here with the humans or centaur?

What exactly are 'the powers of a unicorn'? They differ from book to book. Some books say that unicorns drink moonlight, or that their horn has healing powers, and others say that they can appear/disppear at will. And there's more that say that they're just ordinary horned horses. What book are you referring to? In this RP, what can a unicorn do?
