Book Title: To Kill a Mockingbird
Author: Harper Lee
On A Rating of 1-10, How Would you rate It: 10!!!!! It is soooooo gooood!
Favorite Character: Scout? Actually no, I think Atticus.
Basic Plot: In the 1930s, a white lawyer is involved in a case defending a black man. Told through the eyes of his young daughter, this novel shows how stereotypes and ideas are chalenged in a rural southern town. This book shows that often, what is taken as a truth is, in fact, changable.
Would You Reccomend It to A Friend: YesyesyesyesyesyesyesYES! It is sooo good!!!
If Yes, Why: This book is amazingly well written, and filled with wry humour and truth. Also, the ideas and the plot points are strong and rich. I read it through almost without stopping. One of the BEST BOOKS EVER!
If No, Why:
What Age Range Is It Appropriate For: Ummmm... I guess it's kind of YAish. It really depends on what you're comfterble with. It has some language and adult issues. Nonetheless, it is REALLY good, and though it probably isn't for the younger CBers, I'd deffinetly recomend it for thw older ones. Ask your parents.

We had to read that book this year in Lit class. I thought it was going to be terrible, and it actually turned out pretty good! It made me so mad though, because they were so unfair to Tom Robinson and all the other black people! D: And, Atticus is may favorite, too! *High five* Glad to see other people like this book, too.
(June 17, 2016 - 1:57 pm)
*high fives back* Yay, Atticus!
I agree that it's super upsetting and unfair, but it was how times were back then, in that place. I think it's good that we have that recorded, and know how much we've evolved. We shouldn't try to glaze over history that's unlikable. It's history, as sad as it is.

Here's a book!
Book Title: Eulalia!
Author: Brian Jacques (awesome)
On a rating of 1-10, how would you rate it: 10! Brian Jacques is a really great author. He puts description, action, and dialogue in just hte right places so I feel like I'm there, watching it all.
Favorite Character: Mad Maudie (the Hon.) Mugsberry Thropple. She's so funny!
Basic Plot: Lord Asheye, ruler of Salamandastron, the great fortress by the sea, knows he will not live to see the next summer. He needs a successor, a wise, strong badger, to take his place. He has had a vision, of a badger who has a gigantic scar shaped like a flame on his forehead, and knows instantly he is the one. He sends out Mad Maudie, the assistant cook at Salamandastron, to find him, no matter what it takes. Meanwhile, a badger named Gorath had been captured by sea vermin. Their captain, a ruthless fox named Vizka Longtooth, wants to turn him into a vermin also, a warrior that will fight all their battles for them. Gorath, however, resists their torturing and starving, and will not give in. Again, meanwhile, at Redwall Abbey, a young hog named Orkwil Prink has been kicked out of the abbey for stealing. He can come back in a seaseon, when he has thought his behaviour over and stopped stealing. The destinies of the three are all tied together, and they eventually meet.
Would you recommend it to a friend: MOST DEFINETLY! YES YES YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!
If yes, why: Brian Jacques is such a great author. (See rating) I never grow tired of the Redwall series, even though this is the six or seventh time I'm reading the books. ( I have a lack of good books that I haven't read right now. My mom stopped me in the middle of all the many Warriors series, said no to Series of Unfortunate Events and Artemis Fowl, (she said they're trash! And the same of Warriors! *sniff*) and also the library that is right down the street is under renovations and won't be open until sometime in the end of summer.) The plots are really complex and twisty, and it keeps me on the edge of my seat every time, I never put it down unless completely necessary.
What age range is it appropriate for: Nearly every age! I would say anyone that can read should read it. There isn't like gory descriptions of the combat or anything, and they don't use any swear or insult words that anyone in the real world uses. Anyway, they don't really swear anyway. Or it says 'he cursed under his breath.' Or something like that. And the insults are mainly used among the searats, the cursing too. A sample of the insulting: 'The seer crow was outraged. "Mangiz does not forget an insult, hedgepig."
Ambrose smiled cheekily. "Good, then here's a few more for you to remember, you pot-bellied, cross-eyed, feather-bottomed excuse for a duck.'
― Brian Jacques, Mattimeo XD XD XD!
I found this website that has so many good quotes from Redwall. I'll post more later! Also, I'm going to read Castaways of the Flying Dutchman soon.
