Here we go, folks! The Diana Wynne Jones role-play! Who wants to start? I don't think we should do actual characters from the books, and as Jenni said, it doesn't have to be any one book.

Yay!!! I will be hmm, daughter of Marianne Pinhoe, name of Loreli Grant (I'm assuming Marianne and Cat get married, that would be cool!), and of couse I live at Chrestomanci Castle. Christopher is retired, maybe?

Oh cool! You've read the Chrestomance Chronicles, too? I'm the present Chrestomanci (Eric/Cat Chant)'s daughter. That's cool that my dad invited u! I'm guessing you'll be one of his personal students as well? If you are, don't think that I have it easy bcuz he's my father, because all it means is that I get extra homework................

You mean have Cat as Chrestomanci? I'm not sure if Chrestomanci's can retire, but maybe he's like off on top of a mountain somewhere with Millie....

I think I'll be....Yes! Howl and Sophie's daughter! (Morgan's her older brother by a few years). Her name is Pippa (short for Philippa) Pendragon (Howl does like that last name!). How old is your character? I'd say mine's about my age, but it doesn't really matter. Aargh! I still can't find my "Howl's Moving Castle!" What am I to do, what am I to do....

Well, Gabriel DeWitt retired, so there! He still had four lives when Christopher took over..........sorry I think earlier I said Grant instead of Chant! LOL. Martia is going to be Martha and Michael's daughter, I think. So you guys would be related!! Wow, Loreli has very good connections........granddaughter to the Gaffer of the Pinhoes, and daughter of the Chrestomanci!!!! heehee.............:)

I think I can maneuver Pippa over to Chrestomanci Castle (I forgot DeWitt retired!) Unless you guys want to meet in the middle (perhaps me and my cousin head out to see the world, at Howl's pleaded need for less children). Maybe we could all end up in the Mythosphere (if Martia and Holly have read The Game).

Should we describe our characters more (hair color, eye color, general height, etc.)? Pippa inherited most of her mother's traits: strawberry hair, a little short, and blue eyes. Unfortunately, once and a while she acts like Howl, so you'll have to excuse her, with an older brother like Morgan, too.

I want to be Michael and Martha's daughter. and I have nine siblings.

Martha wanted to get married and have ten children, right?

And I have four younger siblings and four older.

How'zat!(In other words, how's that.)

And called Lettie, after my aunt, Lettie (the actual Lettie, not the Martha/Lettie) .

Hey Holly, will your mum be at the library tomorrow? Or Monday? Or both? Because I might just be able to give her the books you want to borrow. Oh, and do you want some of the Chrestomanci books too, so you'll understand what it's about? Just wondering.

Wait--now I'm confused! Why is Chant Cat's last name? Did Chrestomanci adopt him? I can't remember!

I've had a thought...as far as I know, there have only been male Chrestomancis. We could change that. *Crafty smile.*

Well, Cat's parents are Christophers cousins, and since they both had last name Chant, Cat's mothers last name didn't change, so Cat's last name is Chant, and as I'm his daughter, my last name is Chant too, and Marianne is now a Chant too................................/my family history, i guess.....................
