Question: what is HoO?
It stands for Heroes of Olympus, which I think is a series by the same author as the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.

HoO is Heroes of Olympus. Other than that, Admin, you were correct! I think House of Hades is actually a book in this series, though.
Thanks for correcting me, Ellie. I've just corrected the thread. Obviously O wouldn't stand for Hades! I wasn't thinking.

I'll give a vote which I like better and some advice regarding the two books.
The
advice is that if you want a fast-paced read with modern words and no one-page paragraphs of dialogue and description, you'd better read HoH. But
if you're willing to read LotR and The Hobbit (I personally liked the
former much better, but then, I read the latter in one day.) over the
course of a few days or a few weeks, then it's an awesome book, though
Tolkien does get a bit long-winded in his descriptions (Don't get me
wrong. I love the book. But long paragraphs of description always, always, always makes my eyes wander.). I admit I haven't read HoH or finished LotR. But I've read the other HoO books and am half way through the second LotR book.
I'll vote for LotR.

I recommend neither. Heroes Of Olympus is not that good... Hobbit is OK, and I have not read LOTR.
