The first sentence was something like: The Dursleys were a perfectly normal and proud of it, thank you very much. I think.
Shoot, what's Dumbledore's mother's name? I know she had black hair, and it said she had high cheekbones and a proud face. But I don't remember her name. *Thunk* His sister was Arianna, of course.

It's debatable, but it was either because he wanted Dumbledore dead or to punish the Malfoys for losing the prophecy. Or both.
