Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Harry Potter Trivia
Open to all...

Open to all Potterheads!!!!

Here are the rules:
-You have to have read all the books.

-DO NOT comment until you can see the latest comment. We don't want to get mixed up.

-No questions that aren't in the series; e.x: what's Hermione's favorite food?

-NO CONSULTING THE BOOKS. IT'S CHEATING.

I think the rest is self-explanitory; you answer the trivia question, then post one of you own.

Question: Name all 7 Horcruxes.

There are two different questions up so I will answer both of them. Maroon, Scabbers, and he is actually Peter Petigrew.

What do Fred and George say they know their names are?

What is Lord Voldemort an anagram for?

Tom Marvolo Riddle, and I believe it's 'I am Lord Voldemort'. Or I'm just thinking of something completely different.

Maroon, Scabbers, Peter Pettigrew.

When's Ron's birthday? This is in the books.

@ Dumpun: Lord Voldemort isn't the anagram. I am Lord Voldemort is an anagram of Tom Marvolo Riddle.

@ Crookshanks: I don't know... Sorry!

Which of George's ears does Snape cut off, left or right? And with what spell?

@Sophie His left, and Sectumsempra.

Also, I think Hagrid's mother was the giant Frinwulda or Frinwulfa (I can't remember...I think it was one or the other, though).

And, I don't know either, Crookshanks. Sorry!

Who are the three people in Harry's fifth year Care of Magical Creature's class who can see thestrals?

Buckbeak's name gets changed to Witherwings to make sure the Ministry doesn't find out where he escaped to after Book 3.

Actually, I was talking about Phineas Nigellus. But you might be right.

Anyway, in answer to your question, "I feel...saintly."

What is Professor Slughorn's first name?

Random Harry Potter Fact: Xeno, in Xenophilious, is Latin for foreign. Make of this what you will.

Horace! What are the names of Harry and Ginny's children 19 Years Later?

@coyotedomino, Xenophilius means, roughly, someone who loves foreign things. This totally fits with his personality. It's just another example of J.K. Rowling truly thinking through Latin roots for her characters' names.

-James

-Albus

What is a spell that puts up a shield between you and another person?

@ Zeus, thanks, I see how that makes sense. Like phile in bibliophile and philo in philosopher. And yeah, almost all the names and spells in the books have an explanation.
