Chatterbox: Blab About Books
Book Quote Game!
We haven't had...
We haven't had one of these for a long time, so I'm making one. If you don't know the rules here they are:
I'll post a quote, people try and guess what book it's from, and the first person to guess correctly wins. The winner posts the next quote and it starts all over again.
This quote might be pretty hard, so if you need help I'll give some hints.
"Everything moved rapidly after the tea was drunk."

...looks like we all got this one.
(January 5, 2014 - 8:47 pm)
Is it a Jessica Day George book?
(January 4, 2014 - 6:52 pm)
Breadcrumbs?
A Great and Terrible Beauty?
Insurgent?
That's all I can guess.

This quote is, as far as I know, from Insurgent or Divergent. BTW, was anyone totally and completely heartbroken by Alleigent? It was heartbreaking.

OK, three of us got it. How do we determine who goes next again?
(January 6, 2014 - 2:49 pm)
Whoever posted the first comment that got it right.
(January 6, 2014 - 6:32 pm)
I dunno.. what was the answer?
(January 6, 2014 - 7:59 pm)
Melody got Maggie's quote from Will Greyson, Will Greyson correct first.
For my quote, yes, you did get it right; it's from Divergent. However, Maggie answered first, so she got to take a turn.

The Will Greyson, Will Greyson one was me then.
*is very surprised*
*this never happens*
"So began my life in Treb- a life that, in most ways, I was completely unprepared to live."
(January 6, 2014 - 8:54 pm)
That sounds so familiar... Is it...? Agh! No. I don't know. Shoot. I feel like I've read this book but maybe not. Is it Eragon? No, it's way too good for Eragon. H'm...
(January 7, 2014 - 11:54 am)
Nope. I've never read Eragon.
(January 8, 2014 - 8:41 pm)
Is it from The False Princess by Eilis O'Neal?
(January 9, 2014 - 8:05 pm)
Yep! Your turn!
(January 9, 2014 - 9:25 pm)
Hmmm....let's see...
"He thrust his beard into his mouth, stared tragically into the fire, then began to munch on it fiercely."
Hint (because otherwise it might take forever): I have mentioned this book on the CB fairly recently before.

The Hobbit? Wild guess out of nowhere?
