Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Has anyone read the book Wonder by R.J Palacio? It's a very new book, so I would not be surprised if you haven't heard of it before. Wonder is also a popular book right now. The book is about a boy named August (nicknamed Auggie in the book) who enters "normal" school for the very first time at Beecher Prep. He is very nervous, because he thinks that everyone will make fun of his abnormal face. He stuggles with bullying and taunts when really he just wants to be treated and seen like a normal student. This book teaches the values of choosing kind and showing that you are loved no matter what! My reading class read this book together and I really enjoyed it. I think everyone should read it, as it teaches a good lesson. This book is also interesting since it is written in different points of view (meaning one part is told from one character's point of view when others parts are about different character's points of view and is in the first person).
