The House of Hades cover came out yesterday, and man, does it look great!
Here it is:
So the official description from RR's site reads:
At the conclusion of The Mark of Athena, Annabeth and Percy tumble into a pit leading straight to the Underworld. The other five demigods have to put aside their grief and follow Percy’s instructions to find the mortal side of the Doors of Death. If they can fight their way through the Gaea’s forces, and Percy and Annabeth can survive the House of Hades, then the Seven will be able to seal the Doors both sides and prevent the giants from raising Gaea. But, Leo wonders, if the Doors are sealed, how will Percy and Annabeth be able to escape?
They have no choice. If the demigods don’t succeed, Gaea’s armies will never die. They have no time. In about a month, the Romans will march on Camp Half-Blood. The stakes are higher than ever in this adventure that dives into the depths of Tartarus.
So it looks like we'll continue to get narration from either Percy or Annabeth, since the cover (obviously) displays them in Tartarus. (WHAT THE HECK IS WITH THE HUGE DOOR ON CHAINS??? Doors of Death?) Plus I wonder what the heck is with Percy and Annabeth's weird gray clothes. Maybe they get worn from being in the ENDLESS PIT OF TOTAL DOOM????? (Not exactly the most important thing on the cover.) And notice how Percy is dragging Annabeth and looking behind him. Perhaps they're being chased by some dreadful abomination, and Percy is nervously watching their pursuit. Annabeth, in my opinion, is possibly worn out, and Percy is dragging her along to save her from TOTAL DOOM and whatnot.
I shall speculate as to who the narrators are, and you guys are also welcome to, of course. Annabeth, Leo, Hazel and Frank. What do you guys think?
Rodney says zrrr. Zrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Like Grr, just more, uh... ZRRRYYYY

Wow. I've never revealed my age before. (See bottom.)
Now that I look, I do see four or five, so that does rule out the Kindly Ones.
Mayby Percy is making a river so they don't smolder their feet to inexistency. That would make sense.
Maybe someone had to lend them weird outfits because they were in dire need. That would explain the colors, and slightly un-Percy-and-Annabeth-ish styles, as well as the ribbon. Although you'd have to be in a pretty awkward situation to need random new clothing. Just sayin'.
By the way, why is the lava pouring from the assumed Doors of Death?

That's what I was thinking, about the river. Next question, I wodner where the water source was...
And again, about the outfits. Though agreed, you would have to be in a dire or awkward situation. And as to why lava is flowing from the door, I can only assume it's because it's the Doors of Death.

Oh my gosh! I'm going to die! You know how on the cover Percy is looking behind him? Well, I remember Orpheus doing the same thing! And we all know what happened to him! Does it hint that they're not coming out? But, then again, in The Last Olympian, Percy saw his future; his casket being lifted into the ground. But that doesn't mean Annabeth made it! I sure hope not! If either Percy or Annabeth die in Tartarus, I'm going to have to kill Rick Riordan!
