I know there...
I know there was another one like this on the InkW, but I wanted to start it again.
I suggest 'A Proud Taste for Scarlet and Miniver' by E. L. Konigsburg. You can suggest other ones, and if people like that better, we'll read that.
Anyone interested?

I'm in.
One problem--I have about 15 other books I need to read.
I'll just tell everybody this is homework.
Cappie says gagv. No, Cappie, no one is getting gaged in the book I'm reading... RIGHT NOW.

Yeah. Say that it's urgent or otherwise you'll turn into a chair.
Via Scarlet and Miniver.
So we'll start reading as soon as possible and post our thoughts when we finish.

Why would I turn into a chair???
(February 15, 2013 - 5:37 pm)
Exactly.

I'm still pretty sure I'm NOT going to turn into a chair.

I ended the book. I'm thinking we should start the next book in March, and kind of do a commenting/reading of a different book every month.
A Proud Taste for Scarlet and Miniver was a really interesting biography, that read like fiction. I liked how the author alternated narrators. I still don't know what miniver is, though.

I still have to go to the public library, so I can get the book, but that probably won't happen for at least a week. I think it's a good idea to read a book a month, and if you don't mind, I might read A Proud Taste for Scarlet and Miniver late.
I think we should decide what book to read in March soon so I can prepare myself for a perilous journey to the library.

According to my Kindle, I am 69% through the book right now. I like it so far. I love how Konigsburg used the different characters to tell the tale of Eleanor of Aquitane. Oh, Gollum, miniver is fur.
I have a few ideas for the book for March.
