Has anyone read
Chatterbox: Blab About Books
Redwall Tales
Has anyone read...
Has anyone read the Redwall series? I'm reading it, and it is SOOOOO GOOOD!!!!! it is my favorite series of books I have ever read, and that is saying A LOT on my part.
My favorite characters are Martin, Mattimeo, and ALL the badgers.
The moles talk strangely, though. I wonder why?

Go Redwall books! The villans are the best part!

I think the villians are a little bit too cruel. But yeah, the villians are pretty cool!

I really like these books. My faves are Basil Stag Hare, the badgers and the moles.

I liked these books, but... meh. I feel like they could have had a lot more development.
Also, I really don't appreciate how BJacques writes in accents. You can convey that someone has a different speech pattern without killing the reader with weird spellings and apostrophes everywhere and whatnot. Seriously. You make it hard to read AND you run the risk of insulting anybody who might speak like that.
All of the characters seem like carbon copies of characters from other books. I don't mean to rain on the parade of anybody who really likes them, but I feel like they could have been a variety of character types. They just all seemed like stock heroes. This goes for plotlines, too.
*Note-- the moles speak that way because they all have really deep voices.*
If I had to pick a favorite one, it would probably be Taggerung, because he's not the hero with an axe to grind. It was resolved pretty peacefully, and I liked that.

I read a couple of the books, but didn't really like them much.

I know, right? There's a TV show about it, but season 3 is not as good.

There is a Redwall TV show. I think I'm going to go puke now.

I personally haven't read Redwall, YET!!! I really want to! My dad used to read them, and my sister has started to read them. The only reason I haven't is because my sister won't let me read her copy, and we were just moving, so I haven't been able to go to the library. But I used to watch the series years ago, (they don't show it here anymore). What's the first book exactly? I don't think my sister has the first book. She has Highlander.

It's very complicated what you call the first book. Chronologically speaking, I think the first one is Mossflower. But if you read it the way they published it, Redwall is first.

My brother did, and I'm thinking of reading them, although at the moment, I'm reading the Anne of Green Gables. c:
