Harry Potter Series
by J. K. RowlingThis is an AWESOME series about a boy named Harry who, through the seven books, learns about his fate, his family, Horcruxes, dementors, Lord Voldelmort (fear of a name increases fear of the thing itself), and more. I strongly disagree with everyone who thinks these books are evil. It is about courage and love. Just because something is magic does not mean it is evil. I definitely give these books five chirps.

I agree with both of you, on both subjects. I don't know Rincewind, but I think I can, for the most part, piece the references together into something that makes sense, mainly.
On the other subject, HP was definitely wrong, not to mention stupid, to use the Sectrumsemptra curse. It could have been anything negative at all, like you said, which means that it could have just given Malfoy a relatively slow (but immediate enough) and painful death, bad enough to send HP to Azkaban. I'm sure HP didn't have either of those things in mind. He shouldn't have done it. But on the other hand, he should have in the story, even though it was morally wrong, because he's too close to being a Stu to afford not ever making morally wrong decisions.

Rincewind is from Discworld. He is the Disc's most inept wizzard (sic) (he only ever knew one spell) and an experienced coward. He's very good at surviving. He hates adventures and what he wants most of all is a boring life, but he's had a lot of adventures, travelled all over the Disc and occasionally ended up saving the world, if only by accident.

Yes, I think he should have done some spell that he knew the outcome of.

The Harry Potter books are great! I like the 7th book best and I don't like the 1st or 2nd books that much. These books taught me a great lesson on loyalty and courage.

OMG. This is the best book in the muggle and wizarding world!!!!! If I could be in a character in a book, I would definitly be Hermione. Here are the reasons I love Harry Potter:
1. I love owls.
2. I am a bookworm. {Awesome book. Talented author and fabulous series.}
3. The spells in the book come from the Latin launguage, a launguage I am learning to speak.
4. I simply love it!
My favorite charachter is Hermione, for her stubborness and idea of girl power, and Harry, of course. I like Ron too. I would love to go to Hogwarts when I turn eleven. [Sigh.]
On my location, I put Ravenclaw [Common Room], Hogwarts, [I wish!] but my real location is northern California.
I highly recommand this book. READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Over and out.
Ps It is awesome that such a great series is written by a GIRL!!!!!!!

I love theese books, too. But I already said that in two other recomendations for Harry Potter. Did you know that Rowling wrote Tales of Beedle and the Bard and published it? It is the same copy of the one in Harry Potter book 7!
