Harry Potter Series

by J. K. Rowling

This is an AWESOME series about a boy named Harry who, through the seven books, learns about his fate, his family, Horcruxes, dementors, Lord Voldelmort (fear of a name increases fear of the thing itself), and more. I strongly disagree with everyone who thinks these books are evil. It is about courage and love. Just because something is magic does not mean it is evil. I definitely give these books five chirps.

What? No. Luna is about a thousand times more epic than Ginny. Ginny, as you say, is just sort of... there.

On the subject of Bella, however... c'mon! *waves arms crazily* She is easily one of the most epic characters in the series!

Where did the quote "There are always, and only, the evil people, but some of them are on different sides" come from?

I agree!!!!!The twins are awesome! Especially in the movies where they speak in some cool irish accent, and they say everything together/

I LOVE THE HARRY POTTER BOOK SERIES!

OK, I have no idea how I did that, so don't ask. But I'm keeping it like that, because it looks better (and I don't know how to undo it :P).

Anyway, my list of fave to least fave, all though all of them rock:

1. Order of the Phoenix or OotP-don't know why, I just love this one. Maybe it's because it's the longest.

2. Prisoner of Azkaban or PoA-close second. Probably because of Buckbeak and Sirius.

3. Deathly Hallows or DH-Best dramatic resolution to a book series ever. Enough said.

4. Half-Blood Prince or HBP-Oh, this was good, but SPOILER ALERT! Dumbledore dies! Waaaaaah! END SPOILER ALERT!

5. Sorcerer's Stone or SS-I liked it a lot, from the very beginning. A very good way to start a book series, in my opinion. Right up there with The Capture,  A Wrinkle in Time, Into the Wild...you get the point.

6. Chamber of Secrets or CoS-So many plot twists. In fact, so many plot twists occur in each book, but this one was extra special somehow.

7. Goblet of Fire or GoF-I don't know why this is my least favorite. It's good, but occasionally it got a little boring. Still a very good book.

Favorite characters are Hermionie, Fred and George, Peeves, Mrs. Weasley, Ginny, Luna, Harry, Ron, Mr. Weasley, Sirius, Tonks, Lupin, Buckbeak, Dumbledore, Hagrid...you get the point.

Least favorite characters: Umbridge (*shudders*), Draco, Percy (he betrayed his family, come on! Plus, to quote Fred, he's a prat), Mr. Malfoy, Bellatrix, Voldemort, Fudge (blegh, has totally ruined the dessert for me), all the Death Eaters, pretty much everyone bad. Yeah.

Although, if I was to hand out a prize for Most Ruthless Bad Guys, Voldemort and Bellatrix would definitely get first prize. In fact, they'd be fighting each other over it. Haha. It would be funny if they dueled and killed each other. XD.

I've noticed that alot of people like Tonks and Lupin (as do I) thats why I don't understand why the movies barely have them in it! Well, except for the third one which had alot of Lupin in it. But I mean, the fifth, barely had any, and that's the logest book! That should've been the longest movie! And the sixth! Don't even get me started! It was an awesome movie and all, but in the book Tonks kept cropping up everywhere! In the movie, like a little teeny bit of a flash of her when Harry and Luna came through the gates (I think, it was too fast of a flash to tell for sure) oh, and speaking of Luna, Tonks was the one who rescued Harry in the train! So Tonks and Lupin were only in, like, three scenes. Not cool. In the book, one of the things that was focused on was why Tonks was so glum. Was it at all focused on in the movie? NO! They could have cut alot of the parts with Draco in the Room of Requirement, but no, it all had to be about Draco!!! SO not cool. *Breathes hard* Well, uh, I'm suppossed to be doing school-work right now, so I'd better go before I get caught on the computer. I just had to get this off my back

@ Hannah, I was also very irked that Luna rescued Harry from the train instead of Tonks, but I heard someone say that Luna was Tonks, Tonks is a metamorphagus, so she had full capibility to turn herself into Luna, but I am still irked.

Oh yeah, Luna rescued Harry...I HATED that! >:>(. Also, it was all about Draco. Since when was it, "Draco Malfoy and the Room of Requirement"? And you couldn't even figure out what he was doing. Argh...

Also, GINNY hid the Half-Blood Prince's book! How on earth is Harry supposed to find the diadem NOW? Grr... *snorts*

OK. I'm done now.

Andy P. C. didn't like the movie either. He says uuar. Oooh-aaaAAAAAR! See, he's mad. :)

I know! Tonks and Lupin are two of my very favorite charries in the whole series. They cut out most of Tonks' good bits. For one thing, I was so annoyed that Luna rescued Harry. We don't get to see that Tonks can't metamorphose anymore, we don't get to see her new Patronus. Come to think of it, they left out most of the TonksxLupin. Goodbye, plot thread!

Movie three was all Lupin, but I have complaints about that one too. They didn't explain about the Marauder's Map! How does that even -- I mean -- *shakes head*

Re: Draco: UGH. Just ugh.

I recently saw movie 5 for the first time. The dementors have changed a lot since 3, when they just looked like bits of floating black rag. 5 was done well, though, I thought. I liked the wall with the Educational Decrees. Although they did cut out Rita. GRR. Though I suppose there was no logical way they could have done it, having left out the whole [spoiler] Rita Skeeter Animagus [end spoiler] thing from 4.

THIS IS THE MOST INCREDIBLE AND WELL-WRITTEN BOOK IN EXISTENCE! I'm not kidding, everyone who can read should read it. Words cannot explain this wonderful series!

Although some of the movies(namely the sixth one) weren't that good.

Yeah. I personally thought the sixth one was better than the fourth or the fifth, though. Does anyone else think that Bonnie Wright (Ginny) and Daniel Radcliffe's acting skills are somewhat...declining? I mean seriously, in a lot of the most recent three movies Harry's best moments are when he's in pain or under the influence of Felix Felicis.

Smile I agree, Brynne. i also think that Daniel might be getting a little too old for the part of Harry. I mean, he's like 23 and Harry is only about 17! The books are great but if the seventh movie turns out to be horrible then I am going to lose some respect that I have right now for movie makers.
