Harry Potter

by J. K. Rowling (Joane Kathleen Rowling)

This books are great! At first I thought they sounded kind of weird, but when I bought one I thought it was really good. It is about a boy named Harry Potter who is adopted by his horible aunt and uncle and he can do really strange things. Then a mystical letter arives and soon after that he learns he is a wizard! Read all of the books of Harry Potter to find out about all his adventures at Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry while he battles with the altimate dark lord. My favorite one of these books is Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Askaban book 3.

Hmmm, I think the best movie was the third one. And my favorite book is the fourth!

I love love love Harry Potter!!!!! I'm a huge fan, especially of the last book. I like the movies, too. Just think, JK Rowling created a whole world out of nothing!!!!!!! And then she made this really complicated plot that no one could ever copy. All the characters have huge backgrounds, and everything has more details then it looks like. GO HAGRID, FRED, GEORGE, HERMIONE, RON, AND GINNY!!!!
HARRY POTTER ROXXXX!!!!!!!!!

For my Speech Therapy, the teacher said to bring in a book to read to her, because she says I've gotten past the 'repeating words three times back to her' stage. So I brought in none other than Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone! I read an entire chapter, and she said she didn't hear anything wrong with my speech. So, yay! There were a couple spots where I got tongue-tied, though. She also said I usually pronounce the 'T's in better, letter, sitter, and stuff like a 'T' and not a 'D'. I hadn't even ever noticed.

Yes, my dad grew up in England, but my mum is American; up untill last year I lived in England, but now I live on the west coast :), but my cousin Issy still lives in England as well as all of my dad's side, so we still visit about twice a year. Issy used 2 post on Cricket. I don't know why she stopped though...

Cool! Where did you live in England (you don't have to say exactly if you don't want to)? Will you post on Chatterbox anytime soon? I believe I've seen your posts there before. Anyway, welcome back!

Yes, I know I'll probably be pounced on and torn to shreds for saying this, but I honestly don't think that Harry Potter was all that great. It was definitely a good series, and the plot was creative, but books 5-7 kind of sucked. They weren't particularly well-written, and lots of people just died for no reason. Especially in Deathly Hallows! Why did she kill Hedwig? And Fred? And Tonks and Lupin and Moody and so many others... it was just pointless! I definitely liked reading them, and the world that she created was amazing, but they definitely could have been a lot better.

That's interesting; I thought they were by far the best books in the series, much better-written. The deaths... I thought they were necessary. They happen in a war, and it would be unrealistic without them. I won't tear you to shreds, though. :)

I thought that book 7 was the best one. Although, I do agree with you about Hedwig.
