Zoe, the green troll came home to an army of packrabbits encamped in her home. She screamed, which was very un-troll like and ran away. She ran and ran smack into her mother, who scolded harshly.

Character development

Just  about everyone on the Inkwell has a character in an RP, a Story, Ski Lodge, anything like that. But some of you don't seem to know your own character as well as a reader would want. I want you to use this thread to write about your character in their daily lives, just to get to know them better. It's kind of strange, but maybe you have thought while you were writing, " Wait, I don't want my character to be like this!" 

I don't know. It definitely happened to me.

It’s eleven at night and Evernesà is worried for her safety. The lurking shadows of the jungle surround her like an army, and the only light comes from the lantern in Ev’s hands. They shake and the light flickers, but Ever concentrates and the light comes back, full glow. Behind her, Lìsina smirks. 

“Trouble, Lighter?” she asks.

Ever glares. “Well, I don’t see you working hard over there, Puller.”

”What am I supposed to go? Summon light? Oh wait. You’ve got that covered. Or do you?”

MAGIC - A Short Story

Hehe...two threads in one day...I'm so excited! I haven't really posted my writing on here in over a year--which needs to be changed!

Well, this is a short story I wrote, called "Magic" of course. It's around 7,000 words (so I'll be posting it in parts), and I wanted to see what you guys thought about it. Constructive criticism, thoughts, theories, and anything else is welcome.
