Halloween Spook

On Halloween
“Trick or Treat”
is quite the common phrase.

It will get you candy
that you’ll eat
for many days.

But on this night
there is a scare
that’ll shock you
for a while.

But when
the mask is lifted,
I am sure that
you will smile.

When you open up the door,
to cries of, “Trick or Treat?”
you will see vampires and witches
that could lift you off your feet.

Then you’ll see that it is just
some children having fun.
From door to door,
with all the candy,
they’re always
on the run.
